Darwin Trailer Boat Club — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I absolutely loved the location of this place. After a long week of work, I was hoping to catch a sunset before I left Darwin, and this seemed to be the place to do it!

We had a large party, and thankfully there was no problem reserving a place for us. With that being said, as large as it was, I don't think it would have been necessary. After finding our table, everyone observed the sunset we arrived just in time for, then went up windows to order food or to the bar to order drinks. For a location like this, I was hoping there would be more of a table service. Instead, you received a buzzer and picked up your food when it was ready.

I ordered the chicken parm. Often served with pasta, I was a little disappointed to find that it was served with fries instead. I wasn't entirely a fan of the salad either. With that being said, the margarita and the cheesecake I ordered were very delicious. Pricing is about average to above average compared to other places I visited while in Darwin. They do offer discounts for members of the club as well if you find yourself here often.

If anything, give this place a shot for the views alone. I'd be willing to visit again to try one of their other...

One of the best place to enjoy food, drinks and amazing view of Sunset in Darwin. We all really enjoyed the food and drinks. Although it was busy afternoon and waited for drinks, but it worths. It was such a long queue for the drinks that I waited round 20 minutes to be served. But we really really enjoyed it and does not regret waiting 😍

The venue has enough space for everyone to enjoy and the view of sunset is amazing, can’t describe in words. The venue was pretty much full for the sunset view. Food was great too. One of our colleagues was vegan and we ordered vegan burger for him. He mentioned it was one of the best vegan burgers he had. Chips were yummy and onions rings too. Calamari were perfect 👌👌 Staffs were very busy but they still had that smile in their face and were very professional. The guy who served us drink was down to earth and was very humble. The best thing, there is enough parking outside the venue and people shouldn’t worry about parking.

Overall, we had an amazing, unforgettable experience with this place and I will highly recommend to try this venue during your NT trip.

We tried the Sailing club last night but votes are in….food is better here at the Trailer Boat Club!! View obviously same being right next door, however we were closer to the beach on the grass right at the front…unobstructed view.

If not a member, have to sign in with ID. Cannot book online, had to call to make booking.

Order meals at counter, no table service. Meals took approx 30 mins.

Entree: Wings were fried well, tasty sauce.

Dips with pita were TERRIBLE. The pita was rock hard and sliced in weird pieces. Tiny two little pots of dip - not homemade - clearly Chris’s dips or supermarket equivalent. And to put the mission lime and chilli corn chips on the same plate…they are tasty but such a weird combination.

Mains:

Pan fried barramundi with red curry sauce was 10 out of 10. Cooked to perfection. Loved this dish!

Scotch fillet steak cooked perfectly medium rare. Slight critic, no seasoning.

Chicken katsu chicken with rice and curry sauce, tasty. Chicken tender.

Club burger, 8.5 out of 10. Meat patty was juicy. Bun was slightly dense.
