This was the only disappointing restaurant I ate at my entire time in Darwin. I came for an early dinner before watching sunset at Cullen Bay, so the restaurant was still mostly empty. I thought everything on the menu looked awesome, so I decided to order an entree sized pasta with cheesy garlic bread to start and a calzone as a main. The waitress misunderstood my order, which happens - no biggie. But when my garlic bread came out alone I asked for the pasta. I was quite hungry so I ate some of the garlic bread while I waited, but it was over 15 minutes and the garlic bread had absolutely no flavour. I called over the waitress to ask if that was normal because I though maybe they had forgotten the garlic or herbs or something as it was just cheese on bread - she just walked away with it and no one came back with more or said anything. My pasta was okay, but drenched in sauce. It was supposed to be spicy as well but had no kick. Ate half of it though and waited another twenty minutes for my calzone which came out topped with napoli sauce, like at least 300mL of napoli sauce - which I thought was weird as it made the calzone soggy. Scrapped it to the side so I could eat the calzone, which was undercooked but had nice fillings. When I went up to pay, a woman, I assume the owner, informed me I would still be paying for the garlic bread - I never even asked for it to be taken off the bill so I thought that was aburpt and uncalled for. Bad customer service, would not recommend...

From the moment we walked in, the service was incredibly fast and attentive… a rare gem these days. The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, full of flavour, and genuinely felt like we’d been transported to a little trattoria in Italy.
One thing we really loved, they leave the Parmesan shaker right on the table! No need to ask (which is perfect for someone like me (I love cheese haha) It’s the little things like that that make the experience feel so authentic and relaxed.
We arrived quite late (sorry, we’d just flown back from Bali and were still in holiday mode, craving one last great meal!), but the owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. She came over straight away, made us feel completely at ease, and reassured us to take our time enjoying our food. That genuine hospitality really stood out.
The fact that it’s BYO is another great bonus!!
Thank you to the whole team for your consistently amazing service and food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a real Italian experience in Darwin! Also thank you for the great...
Read moreVery disappointed. Went here to support a small business with lovely people as owners. Arrived at 6pm, the time we'd booked for. Taken to our table, ordered drinks by french male host. Not long after, meal orders taken. Starter arrived not long after. Then Waited almost an hour for our main meals. The table dining behind us arrived after us, had their meals & left before we'd even got our meals. Went for a birthday meal & all I wanted to do was leave after waiting over 50 min for mains. We were told, by owner, it was busy & no phone orders taken in an hour. Only received apology from her, no offer of discount or drinks on the house. French male host could not look us in the eye after we got owner involved. Left without my child getting ice cream we'd paid for. Was so frustrating. I love supporting small business but we have no intention...
