Update: Because the RUDE owner is trying to say things isn't a real review, here's a photo from my bank statement! I do not recommend this place and stand by my following review!! Absolutely the rudest staff I've ever come across. I purchased two tubs of sauce with my dinner but only had one in my bag. I went in to ask for the other one I had purchased, only to have a very rude staff member argue with me over it being in the bag. There was no salt on anything and the tiniest pieces of lemon were provided, the food tasted like dirty oil, making it very hard to eat. I went in and asked for more lemon (anything to help us eat it) and they went to change me an extra $8.50 for 3 more slices (not wedges) of lemon. The food tasted awful without lemon on it. Like burnt, dirty oil was used. It was yuck and ended up in the bin. When I picked up my food, I also asked to change my coke to a ginger beer and they charged me an extra $3.50 for that also, even though I had already purchased a coke. How is there a $3.50 price different between a can of coke and a ginger beer? I also got the worst diarrhea with in an hour of eating here, so I wouldn't trust this food if your gluten free or a coeliac. I don't recommend this place to anyone!!

Beautiful view and sunset.Your fish and chip are served in paper.A little bit dear for fish and chips for us,but good for a treat.Very large portions . When I did this review, it was called Le Beach, and now it's called Fin and Tonic with the new owner. It was good then, but excellent now. Food is served on plates unless you are ordering takeaway. The meals are huge, so come hungry and they have so many staff asking if there is anything you need. These days I would book, as it is so busy. The toilets are shared toilets with Seafood on Cullen, a bit of a rabbit warren to get to them, I'm glad there are signs to get back. The cost was reasonable and the sunset is as glorious as ever. If you like my reviews please follow me around Australia 🇦🇺...

We were on the lookout for fish n chips to eat on the grass and watch the sunset and Fin and Tonic did a wonderful job! We ordered the snapper and chips along with the kids garlic squid and chips and we were all very happy! Everything was hot, the chips were fresh with a lovely batter, and the fish and squid were really tasty, tender and nice! Not a very long wait and the staff were smiley and helpful. It was a little pricey but was happy to pay for decent food (locally fish) and for the location. Overall, a lovely meal to have while watching the sunset! Would definitely come back again!

Not usually one for a google review let alone a bad one but this place left me super disappointed!!! :( Was really excited to try it out and have some takeaways and watch the sunset with my friends.

I was told on ordering that it was approximately a 30min wait, the staff took my name and number and after an hour me and my friend were still waiting for our food, as it was getting dark on the beach we headed to wait for our food and grab some dessert on the tables outside. When I went to check on our food I was told it would be another 10 minutes for mine and another 15 for my friends.

The time delay totally threw our night out but we ordered dessert in the meantime as we were really hungry. After a total of an hour and 10min my food was ready and almost an hour and 20 my friends was ready.

My friend was eating her takeaways at the table and me and another friend were having our dessert. A staff member came up to us to tell us that we were not supposed to be sitting outside but she would let it go as we waited a long time for our food - this felt really unnecessary as the outside tables were less than half full and we were eating dessert at the table I had ordered to have there (was served on a plate)

Our table then watched as a man sitting on his own was redirected out of the restaurant to the takeaway side to eat his food which also felt super unnecessary.

Had our food come out near the estimated time we wouldn’t have felt the need to come and sit to wait on the outside tables it was also dark out as the sun had gone down completely.

If you made it this far, would I come back here? No probably not, I felt like it wasn’t a very friendly vibe, the younger staff were lovely but the staff member we dealt with was giving power tripping vibes with the attitude we got about the table and her “letting us stay” in a half empty restaurant knowing we waited a very long time for our food. No compensation was offered other than us being allowed to sit at the outside table (which we were at for about 20min to have the dessert we ordered)

Is the food worth it? It was average, maybe the wait time left a sour taste in my mouth but it wasn’t anything super special and not worth the hassle of over an hour wait

Location is perfect, it’s a shame about the attitude on the seating situation with the tables when the place isn’t...

I stood at the counter for more than 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledge, spoken to or served. I let that go because it's a public holiday here in Darwin. I ordered two mains the menu said they come with chips and salad. Okay nice thanks, I was asked nicely if I wanted aoli or tartare sauce. I answered yes that'll be nice ill take both thank you. It cost nearly $80 the exact amount im not sure. We were going to eat in but our plans changed so I asked could we change to take away. The wait wasn't too bad to be honest. I recieved two very nice packaged brown paper chip parcels. They looked nice. Upon opening the package the sauces and salads were missing. It cost a decent amount $80 thereabouts. So We drove back and I said I think I missed some of my order. I was told that because I changed my order to take away they don't give the salad. I said the sauces? I was given the sauces. I said you need to package a salad. This order cost nearly 80 dollars. I was given a salad. To be honest my normal favourite fish place was closed. I was so looking forward to having it. What a disappointment they were closed. In comparison the serves here are half the fish was fresh, the batter not bad. The package was mostly chips. Way over priced. I was disappointed more than once today. Its not hard to package a salad. I will never go there again. Ill go down to fisherman's warf, if there not open...
