3.75 stars Singaporean style coffee cafe. Venue: easy parking in the front (free). Quiet place. Very simply decorated in white. Hawker's stall style setting. But bright, tidy and clean. Not packed indoor. One table with long brenches outdoor. Little kitchen. No toilet in the cafe. --- 7.3/10 Service: busy front desk for take away. Normal waiting time and serving time for dine in. Cozy. Staff are friendly and considerate. The young girl was always smiling. A small cup of tap water is provided. --- 7.2/10 Beverage: mainly serving coffee. Singapore kopitiam drinks are also available. Normal price. Good portion. I love the creative coffee art. Not the common hearts. Different patterns for each cup. --- 8/10 - Hot Latte, $4.8/Cup: good quality. Good price. - Hot Chocolate, $4.5/Cup: OK. Not heavyweight in chocolate, 33% cocoa. Better place for drinks than food. Food is a kind of supplementary here. Food: normal presentation. Slightly pricey. Smaller portion. Serving western toasts, but also Singaporean breakfast (ie. Kaya toasts, porridge, and Laksa). - Three Egg Porridge, $14, + Pork Floss$2: on the top, there are sliced Century egg, sliced salted egg (not well-cut), and a soft-boiled egg (perfectly cooked) in the centre. Porridge base was ok. Pork floss was normal portion, add more flavor and texture. --- 7.3/10 - Chicken Laksa, $16.8: Chicken soup base is full of coconut milk and really spicy (medium level), good. The chicken shred was cooked well - silky texture. I expected a bit more chicken. There are egg noodles, bean sprouts (not much), 3 broccoli florets, spring onions, deep fried shallots & red chili slices. The Lime wedge was so dry, hard to squeeze the juice. --- 7.4/10

Ample Street parking directly outside. Friendly staff, meals arrived very quickly. We chose two chicken laksa’s to sample as part of the Laksa Festival for $45 - 10% surcharge on weekends here :( In my opinion, although not a big eater, the serving size was a small portion for the price. The presentation was a little different between the two (see pics). My husband was happy with his portions of chicken pieces, however I had 4 tiny pieces I had to search for amongst the noodles. Not a fan of the broccoli. The flavour of the soup was light, we had to add the sambal to increase the heat. It was not spicy at all. However overall, it was pleasant tasting. Would I order it again? No. We will return though to try the coffee which receives excellent reviews and the cheesecake looked like it was baked in house also.

My friend recommended this place (she's Indonesian so a helpful endorsement for a Singaporian cafe. ^^) The coffee was AMAZING! They get a special blend from a roaster in Canberra, and it was really yummy ! I had the Set A Kaya Toast with soft boiled egg, I was a little surprised by what I got (kind of toast sandwhich with lots of the Kaya butter in the middle, and a very soft boiled egg - almost like onsen tamago!) Everything was soooo yummy though! And very satisfying to dip the toast into my egg. Food receives my 5 stars, and staff were also so attentive and wholesome. The tables were well set, and good vibes/clean, only the space doesn't feel fully set up (large back room which has kind of warehouse vibes), so 4 stars for atmosphere. But loved regardless. YOU SHOULD COME HERE!

I had never had kaya toast and egg before, and then Kopi Stop pulled me in. The place is filled with Darwin locals, who've made the same discovery -- or who also know the secrets of their congee, laksa, and dessert items. Oh and we haven't even mentioned the coffee! It's all delicious. Prices are not cheap -- I've never paid more than $10 for a bowl of congee before (it's like $18 here), but the laksa is priced competitively. And some swear that it is the best bowl of magical coconut broth, noodles, and deliciousness in the Top End. Let Kopi Stop pull you in and seduce you. Bring a friend, have a Singaporean brunch, and start with the "Set A" kaya toast dipped in runny egg and a hot coffee with condensed milk. You'll feel like you're in Haji Lane with every sip...

Kopi Stop is probably the best coffee shop in Darwin City. The team is awesome. They get to know their regulars and meet the first timers. Their coffee is second-to-none and Seng's latte art is really impressive. Their traditional Kopi (not pictured) is just like being in Singapore (except that there's no saucer to sip it off whilst it cools😝) Thanks Jules, Seng, Dylan, Gale and Nelson (to name just a few of the awesome team)! Thanks for making our temporary posting in Darwin extra special.

We popped into Kopi Stop for lunch and ordered the chicken rice and laksa. The chicken rice was delicious and savoury with the chicken cooked perfectly and the soup a perfect accompaniment as a tasty palette cleanser. We also had the laksa which was well balanced and fresh. Probably the best laska we have had outside of Asia. Also ordered a coffee and milosaurous which were lovely. Friendly service and atmosphere. Would definitely reccomend as a must when visiting Darwin.
