Cafe 21 Smith — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I just had lunch here and ordered a chicken schnitzel salad sandwich - hardly a difficult order. I ate about half of it and it was fine, fairly tasteless but edible. I took a bite of the second half and the meat felt a bit strange - I look down and sure enough its pink - its not even slightly cooked! Clearly whatever "Chef" cooked this bit of chicken has no business being a chef.

When I notified the staff no-one particularly cared and I had to speak to someone a second time and ask for a refund before anything was actually done.

If you feel like getting food poisoning and experiencing a complete lack of customer service then I'd definitely recommend this place.

Edit: After making an enquiry and speaking to the owner, I was told that this won't be the last time someone is served uncooked chicken or otherwise improperly prepared food in her cafe... Definitely...

I paid nearly $30 for a hashbrown, a coffee and 24 hours of being sick!

Absolutely disgusting customer service. They do not take dietary requirements or allergies seriously at all!

I ordered the vegan breakfast and asked if the hash browns were also vegan, I was told very confidently that of course they were. When my food came out I ate one of them and it clearly wasn't, I checked with a staff member who said it contained both egg and cheese. She asked who told me that and I pointed to the lady and she walked off on me and I didn't even see her speak to her. I ended up walking back to my table because I was left standing there like a fool. No one came to offer to remake my food or offer a refund or anything. Perhaps I came on a bad day, or maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, but our meals weren't that great. Firstly, I dont really understand why the egg was served ontop of the sandwich, the aesthetic looks cool for picture, but the practicality of it made it awkward to eat. There was no sauce served with the chips, maybe im just silly and should of ordered extra, but I kind of just assumed there would be sauce added to the side already like they do in other places. Thats my bad. The burger was quite oily and although it didn't taste totally bad, it's made us never want to come again. Im sure its a great breakfast place for other people, but we genuinely didnt enjoy it that much. Im sorry.
