We decided to have fish and chips for dinner but didn't feel like going down to Stokes Hill Wharf. We dropped into the chook shack and decided to get two seafood baskets. The resulting meal was hugely disappointing. The scallops were so over cooked (note the burnt crumb casings in the picture) it wasn't funny, so were the fish portions. The rest was just fried to the point of being cardboard. There were stacks of chips and they also were a disappointment - not crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, just dry. It cost about 42.00 for two people and could have been a nice treat, but wasn't. Highly unlikely to repeat.

Dropped in here here with 7 others for impromptu fish and chips. Very basic takeaway cafe, but the staff were absolutely amazing. They allowed us to rearrange the few tables they had into 1 large table, allowing us to sit together. They then waited on us, and our food was served on crockery. Freshly cooked, massive portions of delicious food was served with a smile in a timely manner. All this was done during quite a busy period, and everyone was served quickly. Well done to the young lady and gent behind the counter. Teamwork at its finest. That is how it is done. Definitely recommended for fast food.

I tried three different salads(all looked so good), all very fresh and had such a great taste! Also the Fish of the day was amazing. Very good food!! 😍

I ordered the schnitzel burger! I paid $18.50 now. I think this is overpriced, but I was hungry!! The Burger was a great size but just lacked flavour!! I had mayonnaise & bbq sauce, but the burger still lacked flavour, and my misses got quarter chicken and chips, and the chicken was ok but not charcoal!! But $37.20 for a burger and quarter chicken and chips. I'd say we won't be coming back!! I should have gone to Bruce's chicken at nightcliff because the charcoal chicken there...
