at Forty One — Restaurant in Northern Victoria Region

Enjoyed our coffees, carrot cake and a particularly good lemon meringue tart. However,service was a little disappointing. Although I was told that my name would be called when coffees were ready we didn’t hear the call due to traffic noise from the busy traffic, including a big truck delivering supplies to the cafe, and the water-jet-style fountain just across the road. We finally noticed two coffees sitting on the counter so I went to ask if they were ours and said we hadn’t heard my name called. The lady said she had called a few times. It struck me as a little odd that she had noticed we obviously had not heard, but she chose not to walk the very short distance to our table right outside the cafe. There were people at one other table and then there was us. No one else around. Not difficult to work out who the coffees...

Really disappointing experience.

Visited on Wednesday and the staff are super unfriendly. Seemed like we were inconveniencing them by ordering. When our drinks arrived they were just put in the window with no indication they were for us, so they sat around for a while before we notice.

Unfortunately the drinks were terrible as well, ordered too smoothies (one berry and one mango) but they both just tasted of milk. I told the girl behind the counter who didn’t even apologies and just added more fruit to them. She then just placed them in the counter again with no acknowledgment. They tasted a little better but still nothing worth the price.

I love at forty one and everything looks beautiful. I have tried their Dubai strawberries a few times and I love them but this time I ordered 2 for $30 and the strawberries looked rubbery and as if they have gone bad. They tasted sour and they were really soft but the kataifi was stale and I also had basically no pistachio or chocolate sauce at all. I was very excited but I was soon disappointed and...
