This was my second visit. I had lunch here last time and really enjoyed the food, so I came back to try dinner. The service was just as good—staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food was also just as delicious as I remembered! I highly recommend their Bento sets, especially if you like having a variety of flavors in one meal. I also loved their spicy sauce dishes—super flavorful and go perfectly with rice. The only dish I was a bit disappointed with was the Prawn Tempura. It looked good but tasted quite bland in my opinion. One important tip: definitely book in advance, especially on Friday nights or weekends. We called on Friday to reserve a table for a farewell gathering, but indoor seating was already fully booked. We tried walking in early on Saturday, but still couldn’t get a table inside. We ended up sitting outside, which wasn’t ideal. It was cold and windy, and since we were the only table out there, it felt a little isolating. I think the outdoor area could benefit from some decoration or a warmer setup to improve the atmosphere. Overall, the food was great and the service was lovely. I’d definitely come back again—just with a...

Really pleased with my visit here. I turned up late, and they still had a table for me. They didn't rush me, although I was the last one in the restaurant, finishing my food. Good selection of dishes, and some that I have not seen before. I thought the quality and taste were good and the meals were very well priced, especially for the type of dishes that were on offer. I had the agedashi tofu $9 (only one other place in Adelaide that is this good 👍) Half dozen oysters $17 Sashimi bibimbap $22 (must be a korean Japanese fusion, I haven't seen this before). It was really delicious. A generous serving of meat in the dish AND to my surprise, the waitress mixes the meal at my table for me. I wish I had taken a video. Really lovely service and surprisingly good Japanese, especially for a small country...

Rude service and expensive food, nothing compared to Melbourne restaurants. Was travelling in the area and locals highly recommended this place. Called up to check if they were still open and was told that they were open till 9pm. Got to the place at 730pm but there were no seats which was fair enough but cashier was hesitant to serve us and did not show any initiative to offer take away when that was an option. So we chose to take away but then was only limited to part of the menu because making sushi rolls would take an hour!? We waited around for 15mins in hopes of a table leaving. Finally when there was one, we were told to wait outside on a 30 degree day while they clean the table when we have been waiting at the same spot for the past 15mins without causing...

Back in Swan Hill for work and back at Niko Niko for dinner. Time to try the new location which is across from the old closed one. This truly is a breathtaking space and it’s hard to believe you are not sitting in an elegant restaurant in Melbourne City. The decor is next level and yet again, so is the food! Keep in mind it’s a Thursday evening and the place is alive and bustling. Take away orders are being pumped out and efficient staff are up and down the busy restaurant ensuring a wait time is moderately low. The quality of food is exceptional and it’s no hidden secret to locals and visitors, this is the Japanese gem of Swan Hill. Check out the new fit out, it pairs beautifully with the sensational food.
