Jay's Burger Bar — Restaurant in Northern Victoria Region

I ordered and gave my name and said I’ll wait outside. Watched and waited more than half an hour while four other groups arrived, ordered and got their meal. Young kid came out twice and yelled someone’s name, not mine. I Went inside and asked for burger the same kid asked what I ordered, a Hoff and chips, oh yeah here it is. I said no thanks that’s been sitting for more than 20minutes. The owner, I assume, asked what’s wrong I explained and he apologised, nice but then explained the chip boy was new. I said I didn’t want it now that it’s cold then owner asked what do I want to do about it. Cook me a new one I said and hot chips which they duly did. Chips were great. The Hoff is ordinary at best. Beef patty was dry and cold which suggests the burger was left in the bag and hot chips added. Disappointing as I was looking forward to a nice burger. Have visited Burgerville on 3 occasions now. My wife and I have found the burgers to be nice and tasty. The service is good and the wait time not too bad. The size of the burgers are a bit small for the price imho. The fact that the burgers contain basic ingredients being less then a fish n chip shop, means that you end up having to spend an additional 4 to 6 dollars to get, egg, pineapple, bacon etc. I think the store would benefit from adding some of these things as 16 to 20 plus dollars a burger is quite pricey considering what is in it. Wow! I had the Eezy Cheesy (Cheeseburger) for 12 dollars and the chips for 5 and some aioli. Wow. The cheeseburger was the perfect balance of ingredients, not dry, not oversauced, the chips were perfectly cooked with a 50:50 balance of crunch and softness, and the aioli was more than ample. I went back for a second Eezy Cheesy because I loved it so much. Plus the staff were polite and personable, and the establishment was modern and very clean. I will most definitely be back!
