I attended this cafe today at approximately 1:45 as I was sitting waiting for my Caesar salad I noticed a young girl staff member wiping the seats down with a cloth and using the same cloth to wipe the tables down. I very discreetly said to her do you see what you are doing? She didn’t quite understand what I meant so I explained to her that the seats that she was wiping down with that cloth. She was also using to wipe the tables down. This is not something I want to see while I’m sitting at a table ready to eat a meal she was clearly upset by my remark to her and told management who did nothing at the time about it nor did the manager come and speak to me while I was sitting there . But made a big song and dance loudly about it as I asked for my Caesar salad to be putting in a takeaway as I wasn’t prepared to sit at a table that was wiped down by the same cloth that the seats were wiped down with.. I commented on this being serious WHS problem and was corrected by manager to say OHS that’s how far backwards she is so in conclusion to this if you’re going to take on juniors as she stipulated that she only 14 then please teach them the correct method of WHS and that the tables if you sanitising them in the morning do so in the afternoon as well as diseases can be transmitted through airborne germs hence Covid Everything looks very nice in the shop, but as we all know looks can be deceiving. and as a manager, please use a little bit of professionalism and have some decorum in your manner in which you speak to your...

Be careful going here. I found out one of the staff members, Tiana, was insulting behind my back. I’ve never met this person outside of being served by them but I found it very disturbing that they were taking photos of me and talking badly about me to their friends. Used to go here frequently but never again.

Edit to reply to the owner; The name might be wrong (could be Tina or something similar) but my review stands. A member of staff I do not know said some incredibly rude things about me to one of their friends who sent screen shots to someone else which is how I found out about it. These things were said because I visited the cafe, I have absolutely no relation or involvement to the member of staff or any involvement with anyone who works here and no vendetta against anyone. I used to love visiting, I loved the coffee and shakes and I’ll stand by saying the food was always good HOWEVER knowing what a member of staff is saying about customers to her friends is atrocious and unprofessional which is why I changed my initial 5 star review and wrote an actual review because I think it’s important for both the business owner and potential customers to know that a member of staff does insult customers to...

As someone who has worked as a chef myself, I understand the effort that goes into running a café and delivering a great dining experience.

My wife and I visited this café for breakfast. My wife is a vegetarian, so we asked for the egg to be replaced with mushrooms. We were informed that there would be an additional charge for the substitution, which we were happy to accept. However, what was served was quite disappointing.

The smashed avocado dish came with just four small mushrooms, each cut into four pieces, placed on top of a soggy piece of toast with a noticeably small amount of avocado. The toast lacked texture and felt overly wet, making the dish quite unappetising. For the price charged — including the extra for mushrooms — the portion and overall quality did not reflect value at all.

I do not usually leave reviews unless something really stands out. Unfortunately, this experience did — but for the wrong reasons. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as the café does have potential, but attention to detail and consistency in quality needs to...
