The Alfredo was little more than a handful of pasta drenched in oil. The portion was small and for $16 rather disappointing. The service was very slow with my meal taking around 15 minutes to arrive. My family's meal took even longer, because apparently the Cafe had run out of chicken, while I understand these things happen a little communication on behalf of the staff would have gone a long way towards our experience. Wouldn't eat here again.

Delicious food. Had the Big Breakfast. Following that with a nice choc cake. Hash browns were the best I've ever had. They had run out of sausages on my visit, but the rest was worth it.

The setting was adequate, outdoor seating on a nice tree-lined street. However, that is where the praise ends.

There was no table service, despite having menus on the tables. When I went to the counter to order and asked for a menu, I was directed back to the table.

The coffee (I ordered a Piccolo) was lousy. Not creamy enough and scalding hot.

The breakfast (I ordered the "big breakfast") was not cafe quality. I could have done better in my own kitchen. The scrambled eggs were overdone, the "chorizo" was not chorizo (I should know, I'm Portuguese) and the presentation was utterly lacking.

The freshly squeezed orange juice at least appeared to be genuine.

I confess I am accustomed to the upperclass cafés and high standard of coffee in 'posh' areas of Sydney (btw I'm a tradie), nevertheless, for a cafe in a tourist location such as this it was very disappointing. They could do so much better.

They...

Have to say I was really disappointed this morning when my family took me there for breakfast. Once we had ordered our meal, we waited for over 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive and they didn’t taste nice at all, instead the iced coffees we ordered weren’t cold and were weak (actually I couldn’t taste any coffee at all) and totally overpowered by nutmeg. Our meals weren’t any better. The bacon looked as though it was in the pan for a couple of minutes and the omelette which I guess is supposed to have a rustic look, looked like a little kid made it. We left not happy and feeling sick. We won’t...

We go here regularly, so it is good.. But, while what's on the menu is good, the menus themselves are not. Dirty and often hard to read, they should be replaced with better laminated and printed menus. Also lately we have been in for a meal after the lunch rush has finished and while the food is generally still good - The chips are not, often over-cooked and/or re-cooked, they are often inedible and very unsatisfactory.... The service is always good and friendly and the coffee is very good.. Fix up the menus and chips and the star rating will definitely be a...
