We visit Orange 4 or 5 times a year and always for at least three nights. We have always gone to Crema for a daily coffee (sometimes twice a day) while we are in Orange as both the coffee and service are always excellent!. A week ago on our last day the price of coffee had gone up from $5 to $5.70. That would have been fine as we are certainly aware of rising costs for everyone (even if it is one of the most expensive coffees in Orange). However on a return trip this weekend the Sunday price was 10% dearer again - so $6.30. Both pastries were stale, they heated it probably to hide it being stale but it was almost inedible. Croissant had a bad chemical taste. Cinnamon bun was black underneath. Staff forgot to give us the piccolo coffees. We sat down at the table and had to wait a long time for the coffee because they give priority to the takeaway customers. Coffee was good, however a bit bitter but nowhere near as good as the reviews suggest. Cafรฉ has no charm and staff didn't seem to want to be there. ย ย ย Read moreHands down the best cafe I have been too in a long time (beside my local) these guys are on it, put a lot of Sydney cafes to shame. If the wait for your coffee is long they give you FOC a Piccolo (most people get one!!) a great touch. Seems to me all the locals go there from 5am and they just pump.
