The Oriana Gardens — Restaurant in Orange

Saturday night was the first time we have been to the Oriana. Before visiting we didn't understand the hype. WE DO NOW!

Upon Arrival, a staff member directed us where to park. We went inside and the Maitre d' promptly confirmed our booking and invited us to the bar area before our dining experience. The atmosphere was phenomenal. Not too bright or too dark, good music choice and it didn't seem too noisy despite how busy it was. We ordered a couple of drinks. The bartender was fantastic and gave me options for my whiskey sour. When we were ready, staff were more than happy to assist bringing over our ice bucket and seating us in the dining area. The wine list was extensive, yet staff knew every detail. The menu was varied and fabulous. Everything looked amazing. We had the three-course meal. Normally we are very fussy. We could not fault a single thing. I can't pick a favourite, but a needed mention is the steak tartare and their parfait. DELICIOUS. Another perfect summer day at the Oriana. I’ve visited the summer kitchen a few times this summer and over the last few years and always walk away feeling relaxed and impressed. From the friendly greeting as we are escorted to our shaded table with table service, the excellent food and cocktail selection, and the complimentary use of the pool (which is somehow never overcrowded!), the Oriana just checks every box for me. At our latest visit, we particularly enjoyed the pepperoni pizza (the honey adds a subtle sweetness that just works), the skewers, the frozen mocktails, and the lychee martini. We wanted something that was walking distance from our airbnb and this one was the closest. After confirming we could take our dog we set off and were pleasantly surprised. Stringlights hanging between trees and all weather patio covers made for a great ambiance. Combined with good food from the outdoor pizza oven and BBQ as well as a Martini Bar and we were set for a great night.
