The place is cute and everyone’s food looked great but they take an hour to make your food and don’t warn you. We sat down, ordered and then after that they told us it would be 30 mins… I asked 30 mins later and he said it’s coming soon…we were still waiting 45 mins in. I asked them again how long it would take and they said another 15. How is that coming soon? That’s 30 mins after I asked after already being told 30 mins? Three couples received their food before us who arrived after us and all we ordered were egg and bacon brekky rolls so we’re really confused what happened. I personally believe they forgot our order and didn’t take accountability because 60 mins for a bacon and egg roll is ridiculous. Thirty mins wait…understandable but it was 60 so we felt so lied to. As visitors from far away, we’re now on our way to a vineyard with no food because we had to cancel our order to leave. Extremely poor experience and we won’t be back. Our whole day is thrown off because your staff don’t know...

I had one of my best Orange breakfast dining experiences at the Byng Street Cafe. First off, the restaurant is gorgeous! Impeccably decorated, beautiful detailing, great music (not too loud to drown out conversation but not too soft to make the place feel too quiet), heaps of parking. The service is friendly and efficient, noteworthy on a busy Sunday morning. I had the mushrooms on toast with avocado, which the staff recommended, and it was spot on–earthy and creamy, flavoured with a mushroom pesto and balsamic reduction with just the right amount of crunch from that beautifully toasted ciabatta bread. My friend had a banana bread with poached pears and marscapone–looked gorgeous! I had a flat white with an extra shot of hazelnut–I was feeling a wee bit indulgent–and it was perfectly brewed, sweet the way I like it. Really enjoyed the brekky. If you’re in Orange, swing on by, it’s a...

This cafe is an exceptional dining experience that blends culinary excellence with impeccable service. During our visit, I enjoyed the Muesli, which was a delightful balance of flavours and textures. The oats were perfectly soaked, complemented by a generous mix of fresh fruits, nuts, and a touch of natural sweetness that made every bite refreshing yet satisfying. They are also selling this at the counter. My partner chose the breakie roll. The flavours were authentic and expertly crafted, making it a true highlight of the meal!

The staff were attentive and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Byng Street stands out for its thoughtful menu, delicious food, and outstanding service—highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable breakfast and brunch spot.

Keep up the amazing work and we look forward to...

The best Portuguese tarts this side of Lisbon. Deceptive sales: order coffee inside and join the throngs of locals at the service window - around the corner out of site of the counter where you place your order unaware of the long line of other people waiting Ambiance: like many cafes in Australia they want you in and out quickly - the music is so loud it’s impossible to have a comfortable conversation let alone read a book. It’s like from the moment you arrive they want you in eaten, and paid as rapidly as possible to give the same to the next ‘customer’ The lack of soft furnishings has the sounds of the kitchen, the music and the other guests amplified to create a very uncomfortable unpleasant ambience It’s a shame the outdoor area that once was a quiet little haven has been transformed into more noisey interior

Have been to this place every time we visit Orange. Very good quality Coffee. They use Allpressed coffee beans. The hot chocolate is also yummy that comes with marshmallows on a stick. Breakfast choices are good ranging from simple like sourdough and jam to egg Benedict. Our fav was the breakfast roll (I think that's what it is called), with good quality bacon that is still juicy, fried egg, homemade tomato relish with a hint of curry, cheese, spinach and chilli mayo. Another good choice if you have a sweet tooth or prefer your day to start sweet is the banana bread with poached pear sprinkled with pistachios.
