Extremely Rude Service – Disappointing Experience on New Year’s Eve 2024 Visited the Peregian Springs Beach Hotel for New Year’s Eve, hoping for a great night, but the service at the bar was shockingly rude. I approached the bar to order a drink and was greeted (if you can call it that) with a dismissive “YEP” from a tall barman with a ridiculous moustache. I couldn’t believe the lack of basic manners. I responded in kind, mirroring his tone, hoping he’d realize how inappropriate it was. When I went to pay, the EFTPOS machine seemed to take forever, and I remarked that it was slow. His response? “Yeah, because you need manners.” Excuse me? This is coming from someone who “greeted” me with a curt “YEP” instead of a professional and courteous approach. When I called him out on it, he flat-out denied saying it. I even suggested he check the cameras if he wanted proof. It’s baffling to see such a lack of respect from someone working in hospitality, especially on New Year’s Eve when the atmosphere should be welcoming and celebratory. A barman’s role isn’t just to serve drinks but to create a positive experience for customers. Unfortunately, this person fell far short of that expectation. If you want patrons to come back, invest in training your staff on how to treat customers with basic decency. No one goes out to be spoken to like that. That was NYE 2024 no one there at 11.30 pm??? No DJ just music from a staff phone🤡😏 We were told it would be a great NYE at this location, by staff on a previous visit. We ordered cocktails with a dessert, which did not turn up when the dessert did, after consuming the dessert we asked the staff where was the cocktail and the response was, due to busy NYE they had not prepared it yet, so we cancelled the cocktails. We were told by staff that the DJ cancelled which was why there was no DJ! Only going on what staff told us on the night!

Horrified by my experience tonight at PBH. Posing as a dog-friendly pub, I was rudely reprimanded by the power giddy young manager - for my small clean well behaved dog sitting on the built-in stone bench seat outside. In addition to this, my lamb pizza was smaller than usual in size, undercooked on a heavy flat doughy base with barely any topping - probably one tiny piece of lamb on each slice. We tried to order a Tiramisu for dessert & were told the kitchen closed 5 minutes ago. Surely Tiramisu is pre-prepared & kept in the fridge? Not being able to get dessert we ordered 2 double baileys & were told 'we can't serve you doubles'. Whilst quietly drinking our baileys outside my little white fluff ball had jumped back up on the bench seat & onto one of the cushions to stay warm. The Manager came out & proceeded to reprimand me again. When I told her she was being completely over the top & rude to us, we were then asked to leave & told not to come back. The Manager's appearance & the way she spoke to us was unacceptable. I have worked in hospitality & there are really nice ways to communicate policies or overlook them if it's quiet, the customers are locals / regulars & spending money (or trying to despite being told no at every turn). If you are representing yourself as a dog-friendly hotel PBH, train your staff to be friendly to dogs and locals.

I recently dined at the restaurant in Peregian Beach Hotel and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The atmosphere was inviting and the decor was lovely, making for a great ambiance for a meal. The food was the real highlight for me. I ordered the Pizza Magarita and it was delicious - The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings were well balanced and flavorful. Additionally, I was really impressed with the lemonades. I tried both the pink and classic version, both of them were refreshing. Overall, I would highly recommend dining at the restaurant in Peregian Beach Hotel. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious pizza or a refreshing lemonade, you won't be disappointed. The food and service were both fantastic and I definitely plan on returning for another meal in the future.

5 months ago I wrote a great 5 star review for this hotel which I have now deleted. Went back today and boy has it changed. We had stopped going weekly because of the menu change. So I was excited to see the Autumn menu on their website so went back today with great anticipation. First disappointment was the staff member that greeted us with a we are not open yet you will have to wait outside. This was exactly 1 minute to opening time of 11 am. So I sat my 84 year old dad on an outside hard bench and waited the 1 minute. I then went in to order his beer and the first thing the staff member did was look at his watch to I assume make sure it was 11 am. I then asked about the menu to which I was abruptly told the kitchen doesn't open till 12. I replied I'm aware of that i want to look at what I will order when it does open. I was handed the bar menu and when I asked where was the Autumn menu I was informed that you can only get this menu if you eat in the restaurant (which again I was told does not open till 12). I can't see since all orders are coming out of the same kitchen why you can't get a mussell soup. Makes no sense. Also the wholetime I was there not one staff member came to collect any empty glasses. I won't be going back as there are too many great places to eat that make you...
