Wow, I love the honey chicken and the fried rice. My nephew ordered satay chicken and fried rice lunch special. He loved it, too. Honey chicken is a test of a chef’s skill because the batter has to be done just right so they don’t become soggy. The sweetness has to be just spot on so it’s not overwhelming. It also tasted delicious become the food weren’t oily or cooked in used cooking oil. The service was great. The cashier even offered to charge my phone while we were eating as I mentioned that I was running low on battery. Very reasonable price. The very 70’s decor and ambience added to the feel.

Rather busy with the local, the lady at the front ran the restaurant by herself with grace and poise, amazing. The food didn’t come out too quickly which is good to allow time for conversation. Generous portion and friendly service.

The meal was unbelievably good. Each dish was fresh and hot. The Mongolian lamb and black pepper steak were the highlight of the meal. Would 100% recommend and will come back.

We get all our takeaway Chinese from the good luck restaurant. Its good. Its always been good as long as we have been in town (nearly 20 years so a ways off being considered a local, still need a horse to qualify for that) Anyhow if you are looking for good reliable take away Chinese food in town this is your place. They used to have a devils ivy growing over some lattice by the front door. It was quite an impressive plant and I think during covid it did not get the right amount of attention and lost most of its leaves. This made me pretty sad. It really was impressive. I have been trying to grow one like that for years but I inevitably kill them, with too much water and/or neglect. Anyhow I am sure it will regrow and I for one will...

Went there for dinner for a special occasion. Was very very disappointed. Ordered spicy salt and pepper squid. Too tough and very over cooked. They said they’d charge half price as it was an expensive dish. End of the night bill came to $95...I questioned the price and young lady said she gave it to us for half but did not go through receipt with prices. Overall got home did my own calculations and we were ripped off. Had been going there for past 20years and the last few experiences have been anything but pleasant. Restaurant prices are too high for Chinese and decor has never changed in all that time. Won’t be...
