The food at the Bowling Pheasant was very good and I would throughly recommend it. But every circus has its clown and one of the patrons who had too much to drink decided to abuse us and a number of others patrons. He was inconvenienced as he actually had to do some parenting and was a with a large group not willing to control their children. He took offence that the auto door was closed to avoid the cold breeze coming on us and other patrons. What was disappointing was the lack of intervention from the bowling club manager on duty to do anything about it. The manager from the bistro was very apologetic and did his best to deal with the matter. It is unforgivable that a club will allow behaviour like this and have no security to deal with...
Read moreBare bones basic club. Good service at the Bistro. Limited choice.... Food is well cooked. Extremely expensive comparatively for a basic plate of food. Value for money is poor. The chips with Curry gravy were odd. No gravy to speak of but with pulled Chicken??? Often busy. Waiting times for food can vary. There's better value places to go in the area with comparable food. A boring establishment although on occasions there is entertainment. The main bar is smallish and service is often slow. Wine selection is Yellow tail or box cask so underwhelming is an understatement. There are other bottles available from the bar also. Pricing in the Bistro seems to have changed the class of people using the Bistro compared to...

Food is adequate (Bruschetta was extremely average, lady told us 4 pieces, it was 4 pieces because they cut the two pieces in half) , nothing exciting going on. Price is adequate, still nothing exciting. The bar staff can be chatty, and seem to have strong opinions about things - something I abhor in the service industry.
It might just be me and my people, but it just left a very bland taste with us after all.
Oh, and the bar doesn't take card, you have to use an ATM with a $3.50 fee to get cash for your...
