We heard the new pub in Pinjarra was pretty good. We live in Singleton so decided to investigate. It looks fairly plain from the outside but once inside it opens out to a variety of spaces. Outside seating on the road side but much better on the river side where dogs can be taken. Covered play area for the children. We only had a couple of beers and nibbles. Friendly service, great food. The entertainment was setting up as we left. It was a Saturday afternoon ( just after lunch) and it was reasonably full but seating available. There are large booths at the front of the building in the older section. Great for secluded groups. The only downside is limited parking. Seeing it was Saturday we parked across the road in a private car park seeing as it wasn't being used. We will be back with our friends.

Absolutely love the Exchange Hotel in Pinjarra! The food is always delicious, never disappoints. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the bar staff always greet us with a smile and a laugh — they even joke and call us “the locals”! Special shoutout to Harrison, who goes above and beyond every time. He always remembers us and makes us feel like part of the place. On one of our last visits, he even went out of his way to whip up a "chocolate milkshake" for our son (even though it’s not on the menu!) — and our little guy thought it was the best thing ever. That kind of service is rare and so appreciated. Highly recommend for great food, friendly faces, and a place that feels like home!

Attended Christmas in July event last night, set up was beautiful entertainment was great, however the food was very average and definitely not worth the ticket price, the fish pie was very disappointing too much mashed potato very minimal actual seafood and could have been served with some nice fresh vegetables, my friends roast turkey was cold and serving of the roast dinner were inconsistent, this could have been an excellent evening if the food was better. The serving of food would have been better served table by table as we didn’t all get to eat courses together

A lot of the vacant tables in the “booths” were not wiped down and had drink marks on them as did other tables while the staff lolled around during what was a very quiet time that we were there for late lunch. There needs to be more diligent application of the spray n wipe in all sections of the venue. Recommend more staff training and better supervision as this generation don’t seem to care much about presenting their venue in pristine condition. The Chefs advertised special, Lambs Fry, was prominent on the menu but not available when I tried to order it for my spouse - she had the Chicken Schnitzel instead and loved it. I ordered a medium rare porterhouse steak on mash ŵ charred broccolini ŵ pepper sauce, all good but the steak was so thin it was overcooked. Why not thicker steaks and charge me more for the privilege. Now! This heritage listed renovated olde worlde pub is a fabulous venue for any kind of event - the architect and the Shire of Murray should be well praised for reviving this beauty. We made a trip from Canning Vale to Pinjarra to give this place a whirl for a lazy late lunch and our expectations were somewhat dashed by the inexperienced staff or perhaps lazy staff and the overall quality of the food. Overall three and a half stars. Hopefully the absentee management team can address these issues before we go back again to see if it has improved. The loyalty app, Heritage Hospitality, is a gooden applicable at the Old Courthouse Restaurant and the National Hotel...

We go out for lunch regularly on a Friday and on the 29/11/24 we decided to venture to The Exchange, however we were very disappointed in our experience. The internal ambiance was lovely but it went down hill from there. There were 3 guests that arrived, ordered a drink which took some time, then proceeded to order our meals. We ordered the 3 meals at once, being 2 different flavour pizza's at a cost of roughly $28 each and an Aussie pasta carbonara with chicken. After waiting for our meals we received the first pizza which was a Meat Lovers pizza which was described to me as a BBQ sauce pizza, it had very limited amounts of any kind of meat on it. 20 minutes later we received our 2nd meal being the carbonara, this appeared to be a nice meal however was very lacking in flavour of any sort, I as a person who doesn't use salt, I added a significant amount of salt to add some sort of flavour. 10 minutes later after our second enquiry with staff we received our third meal, seafood pizza which was supposed to have squid, mussels, gummy shark and prawns. It came with exactly 1 piece of squid, no mussels, 2 prawns and 5 extremely small pieces of shark, the photos on the internet was not at all how we received it. The taste of the pizza ended up being like eating a Chilli Cheese pizza that did not look appetizing to eat at all. Unfortunately we didn't take photos of these for people to see exactly how we got it. Therefore our experience was very disappointing and probably will not return...

Came in on 30/09 for lunch, wasn’t very busy considering the holidays. Unfortunately not very many seating options out the back near the kids area which is where we were hoping to sit with our son Sat out the front on the tall tables, decided what to order and waited in line, I overheard bar staff telling the people in front they couldn’t do the nachos and they showed the lady a list of multiple items they did not have When my turn came I questioned why they couldn’t do the nachos as I was wanting to order the vegetarian platter that came with vegetarian nachos, they girl serving me simply stated I’m not sure, another bar staff chimed in and said they don’t have any of the meat for the nachos I said oh okay so you can still do the vegetarian nachos on the platter then? She abruptly said we’re not doing any platters right now. No apology, no other options then just stood staring at me and since there was a bit of a line behind me I did not have time to look for anything else as my partner and I were going to share the platter I said don’t worry about it and we left and went elsewhere and enjoyed a nice lunch with friendly customer service. Pizzas are only available Thursday - Sunday which is a little weird Quite disappointing for a brand new venue. Bar staff need some training on customer service Would potentially try again another day but not in a hurry to go back or...
