Toledo Three Plenties Palace Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Pirie

Just terrible service. In fact, nearly no service! Table pre-booked for 6:30PM. No one to greet us. Sat down by ourselves. No one to serve us. We finally stopped the waiter and explained that if someone didn’t serve us within 5 minutes, we’d leave. Once our meals were ordered we had to continually remind staff that we existed. After an hour and a half, and lots of prompting, cans of coke were plonked on the table for us to pass around ourselves, by the very-clearly-underaged and shy/rude server behind the bar. The food itself still hadn’t been cooked, even though we saw bags and bags of take-away orders being filled. It was like no one in the restaurant was being served (and there were only three other tables!) To the point where customers were coming together over the commonality of the terrible service. It was comical. Everyone could also overhear the chef screaming and swearing, which was uncomfortable and made us cringe. A plate of chicken was finally brought out to tie us over until the rest of our meals arrived. It was DEAD COLD and STALE! It seemed like it had previously been rejected and re-served to stop us from complaining, and without even being re-heated..!? GROSS! At that point some of the guests at our table decided to take their business elsewhere. The other half of us stayed, having already waited too long to admit defeat, and were finally served our meal over two hours, and even then one entire meal was never served... so our guest just went without! To top it off, we were overcharged. Honestly, the staff were completely incompetent and couldn’t have possibly done a more sufficient job of failing on every level. I would suggest this business shut down their restaurant, and trade solely as a take-away business. They simply do not know how to run...

The meals at this restaurant were disappointingly overpriced for such small servings. We ordered fried dumplings, which came out with six, and were oily and smaller than a ping pong ball. The sizzling steak in BBQ sauce came out swimming in sauce with only five small pieces for $25. The seafood combination came out with five prawns and six small, square pieces of squid for $26. We ordered a large special fried rice, which was ridiculously small and we both only got about two tablespoons each. It cost us $14.50.

The restaurant itself is basic, quiet, and feels dirty. The toilets were not clean. The customer service was good. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming, but we definitely won’t be back again.

In total, we spent $96.50 including the food and two drinks. We both left hungry and...

Received the wrong order and the wrong size. Would not give a refund and said they'd only offer a replacement if order was returned that night. We live half an hour away and the petrol station was closed. I offered to come the following day but they would not honour that. Half the food we couldnt eat. Kids ended up having frozen Aldi spring rolls and home cooked rice. Where is keeping the customer happy? Where is the honour when you ackowledge you made the mistake? When I said Id come for my refund, I was told " good luck". Waste of $80 and our time.Will never return even though Chinese food is my favorite. Wil take our money...
