Having had breakfast here two days in a row, I feel very qualified to dish out five fat satisfied stars!!! What I call the “big breakfast” put others to shame - amazing touches like mushroom cooked in sweet chili sauce and presentation fit for Gourmet Traveller - stunning! Todays poached eggs and sliced (not smashed) avocado came with separate little islands of homemade pesto, beetroot hummus and goats cheese. Again, as pictured, a feast for the eye as well as belly. Bravo, Saltbush!!!! And of course, my second coffee came with a wee biscotti - that little touch.

You have to be little early to get all the items on the menu. We have missed both the Portuguese tart and the breakfast item with salmon. Delicious food and caring service. My 3 year old son was given a play tea set, which helped a lot to keep him busy as well as the pedestrians amazed! The tea is the star of the show, for me. Highly recommend.

It’s not often you find a place that cooks your bacon to order. That was one delicious egg and bacon roll *cue drooling. My friend had the soup of the day which was curried pea! The homemade Portuguese tart was the perfect end! Looking forward to making this my regular! Just a genuinely good cafe with a down to earth vibe and good service!

Wow. I've never experienced such offensive service. My MIL and I arrived for lunch to be greeted by a woman with long grey hair. She explained prior to us taking our seats that we needed to order at counter when ready. We took our seats perused the menu and had a chat. About 10 mins later the woman came to our table to reiterated we needed to order at the counter. I was rather surprised with the comment but proceeded to immediately go and place our order from the specials board. The meals arrived and were tasty. As we were eating our meals the woman came back and asked my MIL to swap chairs to another position on our table so that she could separate our table into two. The new diners sat down at the newly created table and laughed nervously to me, as we were nearly elbow to elbow. The woman came back twice keen to take our plates even though we obviously weren't finished. Our plates disappeared immediately we laid our cutlery down when we finished. We remained seated and continued chatting, while readying to place a coffee and slice order. About 30mins later the woman came and squatted next to our table and said "sorry i have more people arrived and this is the only table free"..... what?? free?? we were still sitting there and not finished our lunch there. We left immediately and went to a cafe close by that served excellent coffee. Never have i felt so uncomfortable eating out, being constantly bothered by a socially inept individual. I would never return again to support such a business run by an awkward...

As a visitor from Melbourne, I would never go back to this establishment in the beautiful Queenscliff! Though it was within an hour of the closing time, we were rudely told that no food was being served. When asked if there were newspapers to read, again rudely told that 'she' did not like the 'papers' and 'there were magazines in the corner'. Drinking our lattes, we were then overwhelmed by the vacuum cleaner in its full glory for ten minutes. We had to actually even ask where we could pay for this delightful experience from people who were not even slightly interested in our custom and clearly wanted to go home!!

What a total lack of customer service! Please don't be in this sort of industry unless you are committed to providing a quality experience for all your patrons regardless of the...

Went there today for coffee, this is what went down, Me- can i have two really strong coffees in a mug please. Taller lady-oh, is that it? Me-yes thanks, we had lunch somewhere else her--oh, maybe next time then, and proceeded to tell the other(nice) lady, I wrote it down as i thought they were going to order lunch(huff), then started to tell me how they just won an award and had postcards down at their shop ect, then she walked off without even saying thank you, rude, rude, rude! The lady that actually bought our coffees to us was thankful, however, not sure i would want to pay $12.00 for two coffees again with RUDE service on the...
