What a bummer. Today was my fifth and potentially last time (haven't tried the Asian foods etc yet but they're not authentic and let's face it the baked goods are the main show. Today I got a lemon meringue doughnut (again). Sounds amazing. Looked amazing. Didn't taste amazing. Doughnut tasted stale (again). I went in the morning so shouldn't have been too bad. They use lemon essence in the curd, and they must have used half a bottle of it. Shiza Minelli, my soul puckered up tighter than a blokes bottom at the proctologist. The first time I went I had a classic banh mi. It was okay, but missing a lot of the flavour and authenticity you would get in Vietnam or in a capital city which was a bit disappointing. Second time I had a pie which was pretty standard, not bad but not in the top 3 bakeries in Mackay. I will visit again and a great addition...
