Bluewater Lagoon — Attraction in Mackay

Half of the park was closed, wasn’t a hot day so my 10 months and 3 years old were quite cold when we got out of the water. No warm/hot shower not even for the little ones (yes the shower in the toilet in between the boys and the girls changing room is cold to, sorry actually not cold it’s just less cold than the other ones)

Open at 9 closed at 4.30 pm....

Food super expensive

You guys need to take a trip to Yeppoon go to the lagoon and LEARN BIG TIME from this guys. And spend couple of box to warm up the water for those poor little kids. ( one easy option is called solar powered shower)

I know it’s a free service, but if you want to do something free and good, doo it properly and don’t cut costs on important things like the kids experience. They were so cold that the 10 months was crying like a crazy and the 3 years old one said to me “Please daddy can we go back to Yeppoon, we don’t like Mackay”

I would have given the water park a 5, but kiosk wasn't open. The water slide was only open on weekends which was disappointing, though the lifeguard said once there were three lifeguards on they would open the slide. When there were 3 life guards on we asked them, they rang the boss and were told no. The ages of our children were 7, 10 and16. They were really excited for the water slide as at that age there is not much else to do except just swim . Today is Saturday so hopefully the slide will be open. Only has 1 slide which is not always open and also the original kids splash zone that all the kids loved has been removed and replaced with a few water jets. Bring back the kids play area with slides, bucket and jungle gym. Amenities are usually clean and plentiful. Heaps of space to have a party with the option to use public bbq as well. Grounds are always well kept. Mozzie spray is a must in the afternoon to avoid sand fly attack. Cafe is also a bit pricey. Good place for the kids to swim and play but could be...
