Arthur Clive's Bakery Cafe - Boonah — Restaurant in Queensland

Updated 5th August 2025 around 11am: I ordered a large half strength latte in a takeaway cup, specifically pointed to cup size and repeated "half strength, only 1 shot as they specify that a large has 2 shots. Minutes later I was given a small size, which I questioned and was tersely told by "blondie" the young girl that took my order that I ordered a small. Being quite sure of my order, and I never order small coffees I again told her that I did order a large size, 1 shot/half strength. The response was now changed to "you ordered a regular". (1) If your staff intend to "lie" they should atleast stay with one story & not change it to attempt to defend a mistake. (2) we all make mistakes but why was there no offer to correct the mistake, even with an additional charge? (3) The old saying "the customer is always right" may not always hold true but in the case the customer was right and spoken to in a way bordering on "rude"! (4) This young girl I referred to as "blondie" does not is not at all service minded and has no people skills......... This review is for the owners rather than prospective customers looking for a large coffee!

Had the pleasure of enjoying a beautifully made Decaffeinated Mug of coffee and one of their renowned sausage rolls which along with their pies & other pastries are some of best I have ever tasted. Arthur Clive's Bakery Cafe at Boonah also have freshly made sandwiches & other types of food, including a range of food for vegans and vegetarians. This cafe is located right in the main street of Boonah, & has seating areas both inside and outside. This place is wheelchair friendly & caters for anyone with a disability. On entry to this cafe you are required to use the appropriate QR application to scan on due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. If you don't have a mobile phone they have a iPad which you can enter your personal information. I found the staff to be friendly and efficient in the way they went about serving the large number of customers that came during my visit. Delicious good old fashioned food, good old fashioned service, and great old fashioned size serves. This place ticks all the boxes for a great way to spend a leisurely morning on the weekend. The value for money is there and the venue is really comfortable. The amenities out back are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff genuinely seem to love being there and are super nice. The food is really tasty and served pretty promptly. We grabbed the special as well as a breakfast burrito and caramel latte. On the way out we grabbed some freshly baked bread and brownies. Um, YUM!
