This new Indian outlet has taken over the former premises of Ocean Breeze Chinese. Appears to have undergone a facelift in the process and the cold air conditioning was welcome to wait around in. Food - One issue I've had with Indian food in Toowoomba is that every venue appears to use a very similar base gravy and as a result, every venue tastes identical. Not so here - there's enough of a difference and the end result is more savoury and tasty. I had a Punjabi goat curry. The flavour was cumin forward but not at the expense of upsetting the other ingredients in the flavour profile. I suspect more attention is paid to the balance of flavours here. The texture was slightly rustic which I enjoy - overly smooth gravy is a pet peeve of mine. Service - again, pleasantly surprised. Indian restaurant food generally uses a common curry gravy base which makes food assembly quick. I do not understand why so many outlets take an hour to serve a curry portion when they're not busy. This outlet had my order ready in 10 minutes which is how long it takes me to make the same dish restaurant style at home. Fantastic speed and it didn't affect the end product quality. Atmosphere - very much improved on the experience with the former tenant. Clean, cool with some new painting done. The portion size was slightly smaller and slightly more expensive than the local Indian takeaway competition but I certainly don't mind - the food quality is of a higher standard. Well worth a visit, I will be returning.

This restaurant is so good. So far it’s the best Indian restaurant in toowoomba. It’s amazing the food is so authentic. The butter chicken is not sweet like other Indian restaurants. Love it and I hope they get more popular. The food was so worth the price, the portions are huge coz normally in Indian restaurants the portions are small but in here…it was huge! Like just good enough for someone who can eat. Service, food, drinks and pricing were excellent. Try it out, don’t sleep on them. (:

"Good food is the foundation of genuine happiness". This is what I experienced at Chaska Indian street food and restaurant at Toowoomba yesterday night with my family. we ordered tandoori chaap, chicken tandoori with some delightful Indian street chat. Everything was so delicious, authentic and appetizing. Main course was really good. Indian cuisine is always incomplete without sweet. We ordered Falooda icecream, and no regrets. I am glad that I ordered this flavourful desert and it's a must try. A big thank you to chef for this flavorful adventure. Service was quick, staff was very polite and atmosphere was pleasant. We thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Wishing you a great success in...

One of the best Indian’s I have had in a while. We had the family meal which was great value for money. The naan’s were fresh, soft but still with a crispy edge. The curries were spiced just right and the meat was tender. Service was quick and the staff friendly and attentive. Was surprised it was quiet for a Curry House on a Friday night so not too much atmosphere so maybe they need to lift their marketing as they certainly serve top class Indian food. Will be back here whenever I visit Toowoomba. Looking forward to the doggy bag for breakfast that we brought back. Note it is not licensed but is BYO. Well...
