So this isn't specifically a complaint about the food or coffee as such. This particular GJs sirs about 10m from a sushi business in my local shopping centre. Regularly I see customers from bring their sushi orders over to the GJs tables without having bought anything from Gloria's & when is vacant at the sushi place. I'm a firm believer in the concept of paying for the privilege of being at these tables. I don't blame the staff who are all lovely, well except one who could lose the sarcasm & even the guy who runs it is lovely but every time I've been there which is almost always daily, he has done nothing to move these people along & the staff aren't empowered by him to do it either. At another cafe, elsewhere in my city, when not if they catch you eating someone else's food at their tables they swiftly tell you to leave & they don't take no for answer. It's beautiful to watch. Weāre told the pots were broken( but werenāt offered to have a cup of tea instead). So our friend who is a diabetic and canāt drink coffee had no drink. Waited for some time for our order I went up to the counter and noticed our coffee was made and just sitting there waiting for the food to be prepared. By the time we got our order my coffee was cold. One of the plates the food was on was chipped. After we ate I went to tell the staff about my complaints :-No offer of a cup of tea, cold coffee and chipped plate. The care factor was nil no offer to fixed the problem. Just left a bad taste. Today was 10/12/24 so not to confuse anyone regarding staff member. No smile looked like she should be relaxing in front of the tv with her phone instead of preforming customer service. In these days with so many signs up about we will not tolerate rudeness towards staff letās get it together management and train your staff properly with a better attitude.
