A shame I can't give it less than 1 star review. Ordered through the app. Pulled up at the drive thru to collect. Note on the speaker box saying due to staff shortage only 2 staff working and closed for a break. Back in 30 minutes. No indication of what time that will be. Tried phoning the number provided online for a refund, no answer, asked to leave name and number to call me back. Parked up near the front door. A notice on the door saying restaurant closed, drive thru only. 20 mins pass since placing my order. A car pulls up and the shop door is held open by a staff member. I took this opportunity to ask for a refund. I got met with an instant no before even speaking. I told the staff member my situation and was told no yet again, the restaurant was closed and they were on a break. The door was being held open for 2 elderly customers. I asked and was told the restaurant is only open for regulars open. Was made left to wait out in heat for 10 mins for my refund, which was cash, not refunded to my card. It's probably been a year since I visited this store and safe to say I won't entertain the idea of returning. The manager was inside and had no interest in dealing with the situation. Read moreStore hygiene is shocking: All Dining Area tables and chairs were not cleaned and all in horrific condition. Air-conditioning had failed in the entire store, so the main door was kept open by a chair. Flies had fun. Daytime temperatures outside had been at 40°- 41° degrees and climbing. Equipment had failed in the Back Kitchen Area, also. So all food items had to be cooked by hand. Food looked and tasted horrific, I ended up vomiting after eating. No point talking about current employees. Also saw a fair sized queue of vehicles going through Drive-Through, a lot of drivers just quit waiting in line and ended up leaving. If they were able to. There were some with kids, too.
I will not waste time with automated feedback forms. Like Domino's, all these simply will be lost in the system. As always. It will be the same result, if contacting the main Head Office's CEO or its senior management. No actions will be taken.
No surprise. This store seriously started going downhill, when the COVID pandemic first hit. Nothing has changed or improved, since then.

Read moreThis was the most disappointing experience with fast food I have had. Ordered a Ultimate Double, a regular Whopper(no onion) & Large Chips. Didn't end up with the Ultimate, got some other version. Whopper with no onion at least came with no onion but was stone cold, meat patty was small & hard, 1 piece of pickle, 2 pieces of tomato( the ends of a small tomato & some brownish lettuce that looked like the person had stood back a metre & tossed it on. Plus it was inundated with sauce. Chips were also cold. It was obvious that no care & attention was used when making this order. Come on franchisee's, duty managers, store managers, state managers.....someone step in & see what is going on with this store! It's truly appalling. Mt Isans had, for years, been waiting for HJ's to come to town & now you expect them to support this business?? The standard at this store cannot be sustained & it will eventually just close up & then the town will be blamed for not supporting it! Train your staff & managers to do their jobs properly & have some pride in yr business...
