Hot noisy pretentious disorganised.
To elaborate: My crew of 6 ordered at same time on the same table number - three meals (including another Açai bowl my mate Pablo ordered after my own order - his with peanut butter, mine without) came out and were pretty much finished before I asked on the status of my (no peanut butter Açai bowl) and my friends' food orders. Plenty of doe-eyed staff wandering around empty handed while our coffee cups and plates sat empty on our table. If your kitchen staff are still chopping up fruit during rush hour you need new kitchen staff, stat.
Poor venue which could do with acoustic treatment and better ventilation inside. Get some ethically sourced sea grass matting on the floor and hang first nations-weaves (for sale) on the walls to soak up extraneous noise. Get the landlord to chuck some solar panels on the roof and spring for air con. A fan on an internal water feature. Heck. Go down a Pinterest rabbithole and see what you can come up with in five minutes. Hold a competition for science students in the local high school to solve it. The floor is yours (ha). One of my young companions also left because of the noise and heat. I’ve just come from Cairns via Goondiwindi in the height of a hectic summer on a 21 date tour and eaten out all the way. It’s just not that hard to get it right, and insinuating it’s my problem is offensive and with more than just a touch of ageist profiling.
I note you edited your response after I elaborated, and that some of my responses are in relation to comments which you made and have subsequently removed.
Got a refund on absent breakfast after someone from LP first tried to explain to me how cafes work. I went up the road and got a takeaway Açai bowl instead which took less than 5 minutes, the staff looked me in the eye and smiled, and the serving was way more generous and better presented than the LP coconut bowl effort Pablo received. Totally satisfied.
Most of my crew were from Scotland and too polite to complain, and as mentioned, one other companion also left, dissatisfied.
You advertise Little Parliament as "...all about conversations with friends who become family, about the things that are important to you. All while indulging in our fresh. Locally sourced foods and epic coffee". Cool. The coffee was decent, even if it came out on mass produced bamboo board. But essentially you're a tourist trap with a gift shop geared towards cashed up holiday makers who can no longer afford to stay in Noosa. If you were really about community you'd be exclusively selling artisanal wares from local makers from base level to A+ instead of imported overpriced Finska et al, and have a couch with a fan in front of it permanently set up for elders, Butchulla or otherwise, next to the front window where they can chat to the local kids as they pass by, and a pay-it-forward coffee system up and running. It's all just marketing spin. I had more genuine engagement in my five minutes with one of the older Salt & Pepper staff members up the road (where I note they've held bonafide community-fostering events such as Coffee With A Cop) than the torturous aeon I spent sweating away in the chaos of LP. I prefer sincerity with my locally sourced foods and epic coffee. Thanks.
4.7 on Google reviews - that’s a whole lotta customer gaslighting. Don’t make it personal folks. Take the constructive criticism. You can thank me...
Read moreThe one and only cafe in Rainbow Beach, and they do a good job at it. Friendly service from the dedicated staff, and really nice to see that they didn't just abandon COVID practices like many other businesses.
¡WARNING! Interstate visitors, Queensland coffee is different. I'm not here to say it's wrong or bad, but I believe people should be aware of the differences. A Queensland flat white is more of a latté with a little less foam but definitely much more than we have in Melbourne. And a cappuccino (what I ordered) is essentially a latté with some chocolate powder, definitely not as much as we would have in Melbourne. However, that being said, the baristas are flexible and made my cappuccino with more foam on request, thanks girls. Also of note, the coffee is a sour blend, so, if you're not used to or don't prefer sour coffee, you may want sugar or flavoured syrup. However, I would suggest adding sugar yourself where possible so you can add to taste until you're familiar with a café and their coffee. As somewhat of a side note, the chocolate feckle as the side garnish with coffee is certainly unique and interesting. I can understand wanting to set yourself apart in the world of business; however, when you don't have competition, it's not quite as necessary. I do find that the freckle somewhat undermines the refined, mature ambience of the café, instead feeling childish, cheap, and nasty, but it's definitely memorable.
The waffles were very good, definitely Belgian waffles, well done but not burnt or too crunchy, while I haven't been to Belgium, I would say they're probably the best Belgian waffles I've had. Nice to see that the bacon and ice cream were separated. I like both on waffles but not together, so it was good to be able to have them separately. Also, it seemed that they actually used real ice cream and not...
Read moreWas pleasantly charmed by this adorable little gem in the heart of Rainbow! Stumbled in for a quick coffee only to be taking a stroll past beautifully displayed photography 📸 of the local beaches and shots which really captivated me while I waiting for my coffee. The cafe/restaurant/art gallery was spacious and inviting. The staff were friendly and greeted with a smile. There also is a section that was closed however opened shortly after I left. Shelving and displays of items created by locally owned and run small businesses jotted the space. Was great to see the support 👏 I will most certainly come back here to try the menu as the smell trickling out of the kitchen area smelled delightful. Oh, the coffee was...
