Stay away from this restaurant. I've been there 3 times in 3 weeks and on the 3rd occasion I was with 2 friends when we turned around and walked out. We will never return there again. 1st time the food was quite good and it was enjoyed. We had the Beef Tariyaki and Vegetarian dishes. The 2nd time 3 quarters of the menu was not available and what we had was served cold, not hot, and it was not enjoyable. The 3rd time, which was on 02 May 2023, the section of the menu with Beef Tariyaki and the Vegitarian dish was unavailable so we finally went up to the counter to try and place our order for other dishes and the woman behind the counter spent virtually "all night" examining coins in the till with people in front of us. She had no interest or intentions of taking our orders, nor orders from anyone else. I consider it to be very rude when customers are ignored. After standing and waiting for too long we walked out as there was no service being provide at...

Came here with my Korean wife and her mother. They were shocked and embarrassed about the poor quality of Korean food we ate here.

Wife had the cold noodle soup; she said even the instant cold noodle soup you could buy at the Korean grocery store tasted better than what she had.

Mother-in-law had the kimchi kalguksu; she didn't enjoy eating it at all. I tried it and it tasted like they used the flavour packet from spicy Korean instant noodles.

I had the seafood and tofu stew; the egg was completely cooked and solid when I received the dish. Heavy garlic taste in the soup (I love garlic but even that was too much) that it masked the taste of anything else.

Also got a plate of combination mandoo and they were both bland and tasteless.

Overall a very poor representation of Korean food, and a lowlight of our Cairns holiday. We definitely won't be coming back to this...

As a lover of Korean food, I'm actually not sure what "rice bowl" I ordered.... I got confused with rice being topped with japchae, then chicken, and mayo & honey/mustard sauce. The price is ok for the amount of food but it's just weird overall. Not the typical Korean dish you would think of, as well as the taste.

Major downfall is the service. We ate here 10Jan25 about 6-7pm and the lady serving us the food is just either lazy, not interested or disrespectful. She was handing the food on our table and pushed our stuff placed on top, sliding the bowls we ordered out of the tray. She then came back for the mando dumplings and did the same thing. I get that the place isn't too fancy to expect "service" but I'm hoping basic etiquette is...

We were a group of 7 that were looking for late lunch at 2:30pm. Although Mando's sign said that they closed at 2:30pm, the waitress was more than happy to seat us and take our orders. I had the Galbi Kalguksu which was super delicious; the broth had so much flavour and the beef was really tender. My cousins had the rice bowls, which were super tasty and only $10 each on the lunch special! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more! Thank you to the waitress who was super lovely to us.

I've been several times to enjoy the delicious food at Mando, and today for the first time, I remembered to take a photo. The food is so good that I usually forget to take a picture because the plate is empty by the time I think of it! I absolutely love the Sweet & Spicy Chicken – the mix of ingredients is just perfect. The Dumplings are also delicious. Highly recommended! The service is excellent and very quick. You can easily have your dish on the table in 5 minutes. I definitely recommend this place!

3.5 ⭐️ The full menu looks great but the kitchen closes shortly after lunchtime so you can’t leave it late to order more complex dishes. Would have loved to try out the kimchi soup and cold noodles. We tried the two dumpling types and the kimchi rice bowl. Both dishes were average. The store aesthetic is nice and the staff are friendly. It can be quite windy outside and the seating inside is subject to what time of the day you visit which I found kind of strange.
