I have been pondering over whether to write this review or not but I couldn't stop myself as I don't want others to get into the trap of these fake reviews on Google for this restaurant.
"Disappointing Dining Experience"
We recently dined at Indian Brothers, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The primary issue we encountered was with the curries – they were tasteless and incredibly oversalted.
The tastelessness of the curries left me wondering if there was any effort put into their preparation. The lack of flavour was not only disappointing but also surprising, considering the restaurant's reputation.
To make matters worse, the excessive salt in the curries was simply unbearable. It's as if they were trying to compensate for the lack of flavour with an overwhelming amount of salt. Our taste buds were overwhelmed, and we couldn't even finish our meal.
We tried multiple curries in the hope that we would find something more palatable, but our experience remained consistently underwhelming. For example, we ordered mix vegetable curry and it was just carrots boiled in a hot water and added their favourite masala (too much salt!!) in it. It's disappointing to spend hard-earned money on a meal that falls so far short of even basic culinary expectations.
I hope that Indian Brothers takes these criticisms seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that future diners don't have to endure such an unsatisfying meal.
I pen down with a sense of regret over such a dining experience. I am happy to share the proof of the tax invoice if anyone thinks that this is a...

Nestled on the ground floor of Orchid Plaza in Cairns, Australia, Indian Brothers is a go-to spot for delectable Indian cuisine, conveniently situated near many hotels in the CBD and the Reef Terminal. Serving up both veg and non-veg dishes, their menu is a treasure trove of flavors from North Indian cuisine. We had been there for lunch on couples of days during our stay in Cairns.
We dived into the vegetarian delights and were not disappointed! The Samosa, while a tad oily, packed a punch of flavor. And even though it wasn't on the menu, they whipped up some Chole Bhature for us, complete with Raita, onions, and green chillies – and boy, was it a treat! The large portions left us fully satisfied.
Moving on to the main course, both the Dal Makhni and Jerra Allu were bursting with flavor and downright delicious. While the Allu Mattar and Channa Masala leaned towards the sweeter side, they still hit the spot. Accompanied by Tandoori Roti, Garlic Naan, Allu Parantha, and Jeera Rice, it was a feast fit for a king, with portions big enough to feed three hungry souls. And don't miss out on the Jeera Rice and Dal Tadka – they're top-notch!
Sure, the wait for your food might be a bit long, but trust me, it's worth it! The staff here are friendly and courteous, and considering the generous portions, the prices are...
Read moreHonestly, almost all the restaurants were closed, and usually, I’m so disappointed when I eat Indian food. I walked by the restaurant, didn’t beat around the bush, and told the guy, “Make me the best thing you can, honestly impress me.” And I think he really took me seriously because he brought out a dish from another world. I was shocked—I didn’t even know Indian cuisine could taste like that. Usually, it’s always dishes with a little spice-based sauce, some rice, and that’s it, and either the sauce is too salty or the flavor is just bland. But this time, he brought out an amazing piece of meat with sauce and a few more pieces of meat. He literally made me a dish from the future. Honestly, I’m still shocked. I didn’t even know it was possible for him to come up with something like that. When other customers came by and were hesitant, I showed them a piece of cheese bread he made for me, they tried it, and they immediately decided to eat there. Honestly, this restaurant doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Yeah, I’m used to being critical. Honestly, respect—food in Australia, you’ve managed to set...
