We came here specifically to watch the sunset but unfortunately it is not right on the beach - it’s situated on a road with car parks opposite, so vans blocked our view :( The website is very modern - expected this venue to reflect that so we were surprised that it was old and rundown appearance. The food is pretty average to be honest. It was served really quickly though. The chips were ok, but overcooked and very salty. Aioli was very nice. The Caesar salad came with pepperoni because they didn’t have bacon haha. Asked for no anchovies, yet it came with anchovies. We saw some crumbled steaks come out and they looked really burnt so glad we didn’t order that. I think this place is ok for a drink but I wouldn’t return for another meal. Also noted the difference in service between the bar staff. I wasn’t offered lemon or lime in my gin, unlike the patron next to me and when I requested it, it was thrown on the top. Tired of backpackers that appear not to care.

We ate here twice during our stay and shared a variety of amazing dishes. We had the fish of the day special over the salad, the pie of the day which was lamb pie, Sunday roast (chicken and beef while we were there), and a vegetarian pizza. All of the meals were amazing and a good size. The chicken roast was the only part we didn’t live but the beef was great and all of the goodies that came with it. They also have phenomenal happy hour jug and schooner prices! Staff was all friendly and nice. The setup/vibe was also cool with good both indoor and outdoor seating. Right across from the beach. Only suggestion I would have is to either get higher chairs or lower tables for the outside. It was an awkwardly large gap to eat at those tables outside in the low chairs.

Nice place with a beautiful view of the sea. Service was quite fast. But the food was tasteless. I had a mixed seafood basket ($20), which was a bit too salty. I got 3 prawns, probably half a squid, which was sliced too thin, (so you could only taste the salt), and perhaps half a dozen bait fish. Hubby ordered their spaghetti Boscaiola ($27), could only eat half of it (because he was hungry), as it tasted as if they had poured a tin of mushroom soup on the spaghetti. I'm giving the food a star because you're supposed to. But our food did not deserve any stars at all.

The disgusting service from your bar staff was horrendous, from forgetting food and all of a sudden it was the end of the world that our table said something to the blonde staff member, because not one but FOUR orders were forgotten, three people it took to say something for them to look into our orders, on the second instance if one of us asking what was going on the blonde sheila gave me a thumbs up and said all good because she clearly didn’t want to deal with it and just walked away from me, as this happened our table went up to discuss what on earth was going on with the orders because they didn’t want to assist (to be told the orders were missed) anyways fast forward after this the blonde Sheila was that disgusting service wide eye balling our table, side eyeing flicking her hair and giggling, then telling the dark head sheila about what happened so they have a laugh at the bar. Anyways our table then went to order drinks from the bottle o, for the other two bar tenders to be too involved in a conversation between each other to bother serving our family, then to grab their drinks and take 15 minutes to come back to the counter so our family walked away and as our family walked back seeing they were on the counter the two bartenders say ‘oh well they won’t have their alcohol then’ and then realise they were actually standing there…….with the blonde bar tender then walking past finishing shift smirking as she walks past, walking away our table then realised the bar tenders looking and laughing. Actually DISGUSTING. I understand backpacker bar tenders don’t have any link to the company because they don’t care but hire the right people.. We will never ever set foot in here again and will make sure everyone also...

Missus ordered salmon with roasted veg. It came out with no veg. I asked about it and they said they didn't have any roasted veg and made no offer to reimburse in any way or provide some other greens for side. I went back to request to get some greens after seeing them on the menu. They then said there was some roasted veg and they brought it out in a bowl. An acceptable end result but obviously not ideal service requiring the customer to make multiple attempts to rectify a situation caused by the restaurant. The woman serving was nice enough though, seems more an issue with the restaurant in general.

I ordered a steak which was so so. Ordered medium rare but it was mostly rare. Came out quite dry as well like it'd just been chucked on a hot plate with little oil/no seasoning. The salad was drowned in dressing.

Place is also desperately in need of some reno work. Sand the tables, clean...
