Dropped in here for a quick lunch and to grab some drinks, and it was an enjoyable experience. For $40, I got a large plate of nachos, a cocktail and a glass of juice. Be aware when purchasing here on the weekend, that there is a 10% surcharge, and my price above included that cost. Menus are available throughout the restaurant, and meals are ordered at the counter, so ensure to secure a table prior to ordering and have your order ready to ensure smooth service. Our meals came out relatively quick, which was great and we had ordered, received our meals AND finished within 30 minutes, so this worked great for the tour we were on. Staff do ask that if you are time limited, to let them know, so they can ensure to cater for this. There are limited options for those with allergies, and substitutions are not able to be made, so if you do have food intolerances or allergies, you will simply need to order something else as they were unable to cater for this when requested. Overall, depsite being a but pricey compared to the mainland, the food was really enjoyable. Both my nachos and my companions food (enchiladas) were well cooked, crisp and great flavour. Was very pleased with the quality of the meals. FACILITIES: Parking: Yes, near beach Wheelchair Accessible: Depends on chair type, not all tables accessible however Toilets available: Yes PAYMENT: Note: 10% surcharge on public holidays AND ** weekends ** Payment via Mobile/Watch Supported: Yes Card Accepted: Yes Cash Accepted: Yes COVID SAFE: Hand Sanitiser Available: Yes COVID Check in: Yes

Amazing food in a great location especially for those with kids! This restaurant came highly recommeded to us however we were a bit sceptical reading the reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised. People need to realise that it's an island and everything is island prices. We had 2 frozen cocktail jugs (Mango and lemon), and we requested to have passionfruit added into the lemon cocktail jug. They were straightforward in telling us that it won't taste the same and were a little hesitant, But they very kindly obliged when we said that we are willing to risk it. We ordered the oysters with mango salsa ( a must try), Spanish garlic prawn, soft crab taco and a beef fajita. The kids loved the churros too (value for money) for $12 we got 6 churros. We hail from the gold coast where its more expensive. All of food was on point and we will definitely be back for more. The sombrero hat was a nice touch. And the mist was exactly what we needed to cool down.

The location of this restaurant is quite nice, with a pleasant view of the water, and the ordering system is simple—you place your order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. However, the food itself was very disappointing. I ordered the Chicken Taco and the Jackfruit Taco, but both were extremely bland. The tacos were very small, and the chicken was dry and lacked any real flavor. The Jackfruit Taco was misleading—apart from a single piece of jackfruit in my first bite, it was basically the same as the chicken taco, making it feel like I had ordered two of the same thing. There was no real seasoning or depth to the flavors, just plain meat with no character. While the service was friendly and the atmosphere was decent, the food was far from an authentic Mexican experience. Given the price, I expected something much better. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for real, flavorful tacos or mexican food in general

Literally the worst service we ever received in our lives and if we could rate negative stars we would. Don't eat here if you are black and if you value your dignity. We initially went (party of 4) to get drinks but decided to order some food. My friends ordered tacos which were very overpriced (one for Aud 12) and we order 2 ginger beers. My husband asked one of the servers for some lime. She agreed and came back carrying a wedge of lime with her bare hands and literally threw it into his drink as if she was throwing it to a dog. The same hands that she used to serve other customers, without washing them and no gloves on. She could at least bring the lime on a saucer, but no, that was too much for her. So unhygienic and unprofessional. She did not apologise for what she did even though my husband confronted her about it. We raised this issue with the lady at the counter and she was professional and understanding. She tried to pass it off as the server's first day at work but that didn't sit well with me. My husband also spoke to the lady at the counter and she called the manager but he wasn't helpful either. He stated that his staff member was very experienced (contrary to what the lady at the counter said) and that she would never do such a thing. The staff member also denied acting unprofessionally and still did not apologise. I am pretty sure they did this because we were black: if we were white/caucasian customers they would apologise and immediately offer to make it up to us. What happened to customer service in 2025 ??? I repeat do not eat here if you value your dignity and don't want to ruin your...

Really really poor service and exceptionally long wait times. Went for breakfast and waited 40 minutes for food after ordering. Had a plan for hikes for the day lined up with buses and this was completely upended by the exceptional wait times it took for the food to arrive. I’d understand if they’d flagged it with us when we were ordering that there might be a delay or if the cafe was busy but it was less than 50% full. Food then arrived see picture. $15 dollars for a small portion of scrambled eggs and a a few slices of sourdough was poor value. Was supposed to be seasoned with chilli’s but tasted very bland. Partners food was also average and came out 5 mins later than mine. Saw water being left on other tables also and we were provided with none.

Edited in response to “cafes reply.”

If only the food was served half as quickly as you responded to the review then maybe they’re wouldn’t have been as issue.

The menu actually says 3 eggs not 2, so maybe you should familiarise yourself with the menu?

In regards to you mentioning there would be a wait time this is a blatant lie. As I clearly stated in my initial review, I would have had no issue had you said there would be a ridiculously long waiting time before ordering, as I would have just gone somewhere else.

Re: the table water, we saw another table come in and sit down and then be brought water without making any such request so again more inconsistency.

Really unprofessional response and just really solidifying my initial comment about poor service. Anyone else reading this can make their...
