I think there are some misconceptions about the 24/7 service at Noosa McDonalds. I came in around 1:30am on Tuesday night, and was greeted by a very polite young man, presumably the Overnight manager, who told me the service was only to those in a registered vehicle, the worker apologised and recommended calling for a taxi or an Uber who are happy to take passengers through. He further told me that their closing hours are 11pm, reopening at 5am for in-store dining. He mentioned it was to do with security, because they get some unsavoury people from clubs on Hastings street and general ‘drunk’ people walking around, and with only 2 people present they need to ensure their own safety by closing. Not all McDonald’s are like this, but this one is definitely understandable. I was also told that people aren’t allowed to stand in drive thru ( for obvious reasons, it’s literally a ‘drive thru’ ), this was confirmed when I walked away and saw a couple of British girls arguing with the same person I spoke to, over the intercom. I wouldn’t try messing with them, as I presume they get this all the time. Know your times people or be prepared for a shock when you arrive. ALSO DONT STAND IN DRIVE THRU OTHERWISE THEYLL EITHER IGNORE YOU OR YELL AT YOU. Besides all this, the service despite the time, I do shift work as well so I get it, was extremely polite and understanding. I have read some comments about late night service being ordinary, but I would assume that is those being rude and trying to demand food on foot which isn’t allowed, then refusing to move🤷♂️Nothing to complain on my part. Read moreI live locally and can honestly say….if you order through the drive through they are most likely to get your order wrong or miss something off your order, even if it appears correct on the screen. ALWAYS check your order because (for me anyway), they get it wrong nearly every time. Today I did an online order and got to the window to tell them my order number. Even though I literally had to repeat the order about twelve times, at varying speeds, AND giving examples of a word that started with each two beginning letters, they couldn’t find the order. After about 5 minutes in the driveway and frustration building I asked if I could just drive through. It turns out they could find the order once they could hear me properly. But, that’s not all - we had to park to await the rest of the order. Then an employee came out and asked for the bag of food back. It was somebody else’s dinner. Then they came out with ours, we checked it and they’d left an item out. So we had the then go and park and go inside. Thankfully they gave us what was missing, no questions asked. Lucky for them because at this point I was infuriated. I took the item and left, bowing to never go through the drive thru with a pre-order again. I drove home (4 mins away)and gave my family their meals. My double cheeseburger was so salty (disgusting), my fries were a mixture of hard, cold previously cooked and some partly warm ones. So I tossed it in the bin. What a waste of my precious money. I guess that’s the universe telling me never to eat this...
Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful. 😱 I drove out of my way especially on Friday 12th January at 12.30 for lunch as my husband and I wanted to try the new chicken big mac. I got to the drive through and asked for two chicken big macs. The girl told me no you can't have them, we haven't got any. I asked why not?. And she replied I don't know, I don't think we're doing them anymore.. To which I replied, Thankyou I won't have anything. Poor untrained and uninformed staff. I find this excuse totally unacceptable. I later went onto the website to find the chicken big macs are still on the menu. I rang the phone number several times.. Everytime it was engaged or obviously off the hook. Why have a phone number if no one answers it?. I have rang several other McDonald's and they have all answered..And told me it is still on the menu..What sort of game are you playing Noosa as it won't wash with the locals. Take a good hard look at your branch as clearly it's below standards. I won't be bothered to drive there again or even speak about it. Shame on you. Funny thing is, no one from McDonalds actually respond to feedback. Makes me wonder if if it even gets read. Clearly they don't care or need anymore...
