As a hospitality worker myself I don’t like reading negative reviews let alone writing them, but I feel like this has to be addressed. My mate and I rocked up here at about 11:40 and placed our order. Pretty quickly I noticed there was 1 staff member working basically running around trying to do literally everything (take orders, cook food, run the food out, cleanup etc). Because of this guy trying to do everything (and good on him because I would not be happy doing everything by myself) the food, unsurprisingly, was pretty bad. Chips were over cooked and just not nice and the patty on the burger was basically charcoal, synonymous to the rasher of bacon. Wait time was roughly 15-20 minutes which again for one guy doing everything by himself is pretty good. As a manager in hospitality the one and easy solution I could recommend would be to hire a young teenager to work maybe some 3/4 hr shifts where they can take food orders and run food out to customers etc and let the other senior person focus on the food. Ultimately, the food is going to be the thing that brings customers back. The one staff member on shift was very nice and very hard working so cannot fault him for anything, however just having one extra person rostered on for these times particularly during school holidays could very well turn a lot of 1 star...
Read moreMy wife and my daughter and two grand children went to the ‘Burger Bar’ in Noosa this evening. The food was OK. But what really put me off was that when I was placing our order , for five , I mentioned to the woman taking the order that there was a banner across the top of their website that boasted ‘ Free Chip Tuesday ‘ , to which she just said flat out “We don’t do that anymore !” So I guess it’s a clear case of false advertising to help get people through the door. If that woman had any clue about hospitality and how to do business she would have honoured the claim that they had free chips on a Tuesday and then would have advised the management that they need to remove the false claim from their website. I really could care less about whether or not I got free chips but it is the principal of the matter and the employee’s attitude to THEIR mistake . I am a local but I certainly won’t be going to the Burger...
Read moreHo-ly CRAP! This place looked like just your average take-away sort of place from the outside and inside, I only went there because there was no other customers and that meant I wouldn’t have to wait for food, so I went with this place. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by The Outback burger that I had! I am convinced it is the best burger I have ever had in my entire life! It was phenomenally delicious and well made. Not only that, but the fries were perfect, and everything was brought out to the table without even being asked for that service. My friend had The Frenchy burger, and she is incredibly picky and fussy about things associated with France, being French herself, and she was as equally blown away by her burger too. I’ve never seen her so pleased with something Australian claiming to be French-anythjng. If I could give more stars I would. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone chasing a great burger...
