It's rare I post all 5 stars, but Roots Collective is my families favourite road trip food stop. The food is delicious and fresh. The food pic is of the Veggie Haloumi Salad as a wrap, It's full of flavour, the Haloumi was silky, and the zucchini fritters in it were delicious 100% looking forward to ordering it again. We also ordered the cold pressed ginger boost juice, the perfect balance of ginger, carrot, and apple. We've ordered them a couple of times, and it's a very consistent blend. They have the best hot chocolate I've ever had on the road, and the Lactose free milk was silky and not overheated. My parents rate the coffee 10/10 - my mum had a piccolo on almond milk, and dad had 2 double shot espressos and really enjoyed the taste of the coffee. (The Barista does a good job) The table service is wonderful and friendly. Dog friendly outside seating in the back of the cafe

What a hidden little gem just of the Bruce highway in Sarina Went to Roots for Breakfast and was so warmly welcomed by our lovely waitress I had a big breakfast and it was delicious and a iced coffee to match My daughter had the Monday special with bacon and she very much enjoyed her breakfast also I love the fact that most of the produce used is LOCAL and FRESH Also if you go on your facebook page you can like there page and watch it tick over there on a special made counter clock they have over the bar I liked the page and watch it turn over to 4660 We then suggested to our waitress that they should probably do a promo with the Sarina postcode as it is 4737 I hope they do and good luck to the winner You can also buy fresh nuts home-made chocolate herbal bath salts definitely worth the stop and can’t wait to visit my daughter again to come back for breakfast

The food was sadly disappointing. The service and venue were good, the coffee was great but overall the experience was lacking due to the food and wait time. Took over half an hour to arrive and one meal’s (the summer breaky) bacon and egg were already cold to touch. My meal was the spring breaky ($19.90) which is advertised as house-made bruschetta with poached eggs, however, there was a sparse amount of only red onion under my eggs. It really felt like I only received eggs on toast which on the menu is $13.90. The bread didn’t seem toasted at all and to expect bruschetta and only get raw onion seems like false advertising. The food quality and portions on previous visits used to be so much better and bigger so it was surprising to get a smaller serving at a lesser quality yet at a more expensive price.

Coffee service and wait times acceptable. Hard boiled eggs benny three times in a row at #19 a pop. Best I have a word with the chef so it's improved for others to enjoy. Another tip, cook n rest the muffins longer so they're not soggy. Another point, add more bacon, half a rasher is just disappointing. On my final note,if you're going to use pre bought n made hollandaise, add some lemon or Dijon mustard to give it a home made flavour, not a floury goo. And don't spread it all over the plate so it looks fancy,it's hard enough to get flavour out of it without dragging my breakfast through a graphitti plate of plain sauce. Im new to this town and will be here for a while. If you would like to talk to me further on making a breakfast experience that has pizzaz respond to my review ill happily discuss this with you. Either way n I'll be back for breakfast next week to n see if it's improved, if not I'll be coming in to talk to manager. And if I need to special order soft poached eggs for Benedict, you guys better reread the recipe. In 30 years I've never been charged over $18 for an eggs benny even w Salmon and it's complete w spinach and in house made...

What a lovely little gem of a cafe. They have a great food menu and a good selection of drinks. The whole inside has a simple clean look to it and the staff are absolutely lovely. Food was served promptly and most importantly, hot! I had the fully loaded sweet potato wedges and they were unbelievably tasty - top marks to the creator of that dish and the chef! The chicken cheese and mayo toastie lacked a little in the filling department as it was mainly bread after 2/3rds but still an okay melt. The caramel thick shake was super thick, sweet and caramel-ly and perfect for a sweet tooth. The staff were also very amenable when ordered my drink as I added a shot of coffee to the oreo frappe. Basically a great place to eat and to think, we almost missed it as it didn't come up in a Google search as we were driving through! Get your advertising boots on, third coffee, you deserve...
