Secret Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

No table service, strange as there certainly seemed enough staff to accommodate it. There did seem to be more socialising with the team than attending to customers.Hubby and I ordered 2 acai bowls and 2 coffees,$42. The coffee wasn’t too bad, Acai bowls described as with fresh fruit and granola. Açai was more like a smoothie, the fruit consisted of 2 strawberries and a quarter of sliced apple , granola was a sprinkle of what looked and tasted cheap. Extras like peanut butter or cocoa nibs cost $2… a dribble of peanut butter that looked watered down. All in all, not a satisfying breakfast. We went home and made ourselves some toast! This place has the capacity to be a wonderful place to eat and make a regular place to visit but has a few things to address, particularly the attitude of the team serving. Staff took 5 minutes to even acknowledge me, then asked for an orange juice and they weren’t even sure if they could do one but they advertise juices on the board which included orange. Fabulous coffee today (again) and breakfast the other day was so tasty. Ignore the old 1 and 2 star reviews as there is now a new owner. Leon and all his staff are consistently excellent. Parking is easy and the atmosphere in the garden is lovely. Come and try it out ... You won't be...
