Convenient as i can walk to it. Staff are friendly and obliging, although some have issues with pricing. However I find the coffee rather bitter sometimes with keen burnt notes and not a mellow rounded taste; no piquancy for me. I miss real coffee aroma - but not the burnt milky tones. I think that coffee beans have been attenuated at source - whether genetically altered or other hybridising tactics seems to me to have reduced something - but then as someone did tell me, maybe it's your taste-buds that have changed and this could be the case. Alas i find the 'cake' options (we have tried at least 5 or 6 options) over sweet and 'sickly' with the scones breaking up once cut open. When i've ordered the 'toasted sandwich' out comes thick slabby bread, hardly toasted and with no side butter for my own taste as the whole item is dry and with no finesse at all. The fillings were rather cold and not melded together. So i now rarely eat there but i enjoy having something of a coffee haunt locally, but it does not resonate with what i once knew in Melbourne and Brisbane for decades until say the last 15 years or so. Totally disappointed. We waited up to 50 mins for our meals to arrive when they did one was luke warm another meal arrived 15 - 20 mins after all other meals arrived and then was not correct and we had to go up to get the meal and get it corrected as no staff bothered to see if all meals had arrived even when we had mentioned it to staff member. We had to ask 5 times(over a long time) if we could have some water and had to ask a few times for salt and pepper which eventually arrived when we were halfway through our meals. We noticed that other tables were waiting long times for their meals as well and even had one lady tell us that she waited for 50 mins for her meal. We voiced our concerns to the Manager who did apologise and did offer to take two meals off the bills,(this same Manager was the one we asked for water) we did appreciate this but the damage was already done. To be ignored and no apologies for delay of meals or water when presented to the table is just not on. Stellarossa we are locals and ex locals and you have lost our business. Remember word of mouth.....

Came in with my partner for the first time to try it out, never again. It was quite empty when we had arrived so we were keen for a quick drink and snack before I went to work.There was one girl taking orders, one girl doing drinks and one guy just doing things out the back. Sat down and had our order taken pretty fast but then for the 25 minutes we were there, we never got our 2 coffees and tart from the cabinet that we ordered. The first five minutes from when our order was taken the one woman who was “making” drinks was called over to a table and proceeded to make the drink for that table when ours were still not made. She then stood there and chatted to this customer for 20 minutes while we sat empty handed one table across from them. This woman knew we were there as she greeted us when we walked in. At this point I had to go to work and was absolutely livid so my partner told the waitress to just cancel our order. I work at a very busy coffee shop and I was appalled at this experience. It is not that hard to balance both making drinks and connecting with customers ESPECIALLY...
