Sadly - not a good review. I can forgive not the best service or not the best food as a bad day - but to have both at once is really below expectations. Our breakfast was almost inedible. Eggs Benny with hard boiled eggs & Turkish bread so stale we were unable to cut it with a knife. We had to ask for one of our coffee orders 3 times & then it still came without the requested sugar. Trying to get the attention of the wait staff was a challenge and we had to resort to standing up in the middle of the cafe holding our food before someone paid us any attention. They were obviously understaffed but 1 server was on the phone & the other was eating breakfast out the back whilst customers just sat at tables looking around hoping to be helped. After we returned food someone came to apologise and offer to comp the meals - which was lovely - but then she explained that she didn’t even work there… A staff member who did work there eventually apologised for our experience, but it didn’t feel genuine. I hope things improve for them as it is a lovely location and has a lot...

Always wanted to try this one since I came to Toowoomba. Today was the day and I was super disappointed. It is a 2 for me, let me explain why hoping there would be some changes.

The staff are really nice that were accommodating, although I did not have reserved a table, I found one very quickly. I had to wait a little while to get the menu and be served. My cutlery were absent and i was not asked if I wanted some water or even told where it was ( i later found out the it is self served). I ordered a flat white and a steak sandwich.

The flat white was burned and I could not finish my coffee. The steak sandwich was not better. The meat was very small and not well seasoned, I could not see or taste the caramelised onions and the fries were not well seasoned. In all, I paid for $34.80 ($25 for sandwich).

I do hope that my remarks will create /encourage a change for improvement. I will try them again, maybe today...

Great place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee in a good location. They have a great menu for lunch and breakfast and also make good coffee. It's a little bit pricy compared to other places, but I've never had a bad meal here. The service has always been pretty good - even when they are busy. The interior seating is fairly modern. They also have a beautiful outdoor area and on a nice day you can sit at the outdoor settings amongst the gardens. I would strongly suggest that you make a booking if you want to go on the weekend as this place can get very busy. They are located right at the top on the Range near tbe corner of Margaret Street. There is a small car park at the front and there is a much larger car park down the back (entry off Margaret Street). There is also another one of these cafes called The Finch in the City centre. Both places are definitely great...

Hubby, myself and a friend came up for a Friday lunch recently. It is such a lovely spot with a big garden, and not noisy considering it's on the main run into town. We sat inside tho as it was a wet day. Hubby ate a beef burger; I had calamari and chips, and the friend had a steak sandwich. The friend said her sandwich was great, the meat tender, and the chips were tasty - crispy outside and tender inside. My calamari was a bit disappointing (it had quite a few baby? octopus rather than calamari) but it was okay. Very generous serve and I actually took away a doggie bag! Hubby enjoyed his burger - a good amount of sauce, everything fresh. Chips were amazing, said he! We drank ginger beer, and cappuccino. All fine. Service was friendly and prompt. A pleasant stop-off on our way further west.

Great coffee in this hipster bistro, probably the best we had in four days in Toowoomba . Staff were helpful and efficient. QR ordering was a fail as a vegetarian, but it’s new so working out the kinks. Went retro and spoke to a person . My husband had oatcakes which looked great but he wished there was a little more fruit . I had eggs Benny with halloumi and tomato as added paid extras . (Egg whites underneath were a little wobbly my pet peeve) . Big thumbs up for the outdoor setting and bathrooms which were very disabled/walker friendly. A few previous reviews mentioned the high cost - Sydney prices to me.
