Was looking for a place to host a quick lunch for our family from Melbourne as they were visiting for a very short time. I was looking for place to accommodate a family with a kids friendly environment, and somewhere not restricted by time. As my family were arriving for late lunch and most of the places will be closed, Fritz was the first place that came in my mind, as it open throughout the day (Opens 11-8pm). And I can say it was the best choice. We are always a great fan of Fritz.. but to see how much they enjoyed the food was a huge pleasure. Let me also mention that they are not a great fan of pasta… but Fritz changed their perspective towards pasta and were so impressed that even pastas can be a healthy. We tried different pastas of different flavour and shapes. Our most favourite was spinach and nutmeg boscaiola and olive and herb curly parpedelle with prawn and chorizo. The side salad was just perfectly portioned and refreshing and the garlic and cheese focaccia bread was just yum.The pasta were cooked to perfection ( al Dente) and the sauce in the pasta was just perfect and delicious. Not to forget the cherry on the top … the home made ( of course everything here is home made) tiramisu and biscotti cream cheese cake. They are just toooo yum that I could not resist bring some home too 😊. Three cheers to the owners of the business for running such a place with great food, great ambiance and friendly staff. Will be definitely going back...
Read moreWe shared the arancini as a small entree and they were just the right balance of a golden & crunchy shell with smooth and flavoursome centre.
I had Smokey Paprika Curly Pappardelle with the Puttanesca sauce. The menu description of the sauce made me think that I may not even need a protein as a topping. I was really happy with my selection! The pappardelle were long and perfectly al Dente and great carriers of the sauce.
Fritz is licenced and I enjoyed the ‘WINE IN A GLASS’ Shiraz whilst she enjoyed the authentic Italian Prosecco as an appropriate beverage for the occasion.
The venue seems geared to take-away with ample dine-in space. Clean and bright and the big screen helped tell the story and set the scene for the meal that followed. We’re older and the music wasn’t to our liking in particular and was perhaps slightly at odds with the warmth of the video footage. But we’re, shall we say, senior in years. Thankfully the volume was moderate such that we could still readily share with each other our respective and delicious taste experiences with comfort. I wear hearing aids and I was always at ease. Thanks so much! We’ll be...
Read moreIf you are after a superficially fancy old-style Italian restaurant, you won't find it here. Dust off the cobwebs and dive into this simple progressive restaurant. It's pure genius. Aimed at keeping up with demanding dietary requirements, and for those who appreciate great quality pasta, it is designed to accommodate those who prefer takeaway. Like the growing number of us who enjoy the comforts of home and a relief from cooking after a hard day's work. It makes memories of alfresco dining in a summer's garden with family possible. It conjures up thoughts of a romantic dinner for 2 at a favourite lookout, movie night with the favourite fur-babies, or a healthy meal while enjoying a favourite game. It all becomes a new experience with the vast menu choices from Bernard and his friendly team. But then again, if like us, you can't wait to taste their delicious creamy gluten-free fettuccine with prawns and chorizo, or cheesy salmon spaghetti then we won't blame you for choosing to order and dine in at this before-its-time restaurant. Take home what you can't eat and do it all again tomorrow. We'll...
