My partner, my friend and I came in this morning for breakfast. We placed our order for two Eggs Benedict and an Endeavour. When the meals arrived there was only one Eggs Benedict. When we asked the waitress where the other one was she seemed very confused and walked back into the kitchen 'to check'. We didn't see her again. After another 5-10 minutes I went in and asked to speak to someone as to where my order was. Another waiter - the one we placed the order with said he would check it out. I went back to the table. The same waiter then came out to clarify if we were waiting on one or two extra orders of Eggs Benedict. After explaining to him it was not an extra - we had ordered 2 to begin with -he went back inside. Finally my order was brought out, by which point the other meals had gone cold. No discount offered and not a single apology. Seriously unimpressed for a newer business in Toowoomba - especially when there are plenty of other cafés...

There are four things a restaurant needs to be successful. Good food, good service, a welcoming ambience and at least the appearance of being interested in the customer’s comfort and wellbeing – after all, no customers no payday! . Unfortunately, two out of four doesn't cut the mustard. My partner and I stopped in for a quick meal on Friday evening at about 7:20 PM. Initially we thought the place was closed as a few staff were stacking chairs and wiping down, but no, they were open until 9 PM! Great! Menus and meals came quickly, and the meals were good value and tasty, but no wonder the place was empty! By the time we finished at about 7 50 PM the temperature had dropped to fridge level and the floorspace was being progressively taken up with cartons of materials etc. The unedifying view into the kitchen space of an employee emptying food waste into a bin gave us the impression that we had wandered into a warehouse for dinner. Extremely disappointed! Our past experiences with this Cafe in particular have been positive however the last 2 experiences with this Cafe have been Far from pleasant! The quality of food was really poor ( I ordered the ‘Endeavour’) .. the Rosti was burnt .. the pork wasn’t very nice and the eggs had very little sauce while the overall presentation was very bland with a couple of pieces of multigrain toast just thrown on the plate with No butter 🥴 My sister in law ordered Pumpkin soup and I’m sure the amount of Water to Soup ratio was 80/20 and was tasteless & undesirable! As for the service .. it was terrible! Served by about 4 different staff and each one couldn’t be more less enthusiastic about their job or the customer! Our meals were pretty much just thrown on the table .. without cutlery (we had to ask for it) and the prices for what we got were certainly unjustified! This cafe better pick up its game or your customers will go elsewhere! Highly DO NOT...
