On reflection my experience at Tide was pretty disappointing on two counts.
The spicy scrambled eggs as described in the menu looked promising but fell well short of my expectations. They were unremarkable. The sautéed red capsicum was raw and the advertised Spanish onion was AWOL as was the chilli. There was no harmony of ingredients, skill in execution - let alone pride - in what was served up.
Secondly, the head of house was dismissive and seemingly indifferent to my feedback when I casually mentioned my observations as he cleared our table. A begrudging mumble about checking with “chef” is all I got and certainly no follow-up before we left.
Mate, if you want return business you need to get the food part of your act sorted and as head of the show, save the indignation to a little constructive feedback - it’s a bad look and unprofessional.
On a positive note, the iced coffee was cold and delicious and the young fellow from the Emerald Isle who took our order was helpful...

The real issue came at the end of the meal when I asked to use the bathroom - still half a hour before closing while others were still eating. I was told they had been cleaned and were unavailable - my understanding was that this is a legal requirement for a restaurant. Only after my partner complained were we told to go to Coles up the road and that this was their policy. $100 on a meal and you can’t use the loo, and no real apology when told how disappointing the food was. There are better places to go...
