We recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at "Spill the Beans," a charming cafe located right in front of Palm Beach in Rockingham. With a variety of options to choose from, we ordered the avocado toast, grilled chicken sandwich, and a pancake for our little one. It was an incredible culinary experience that left us thoroughly satisfied.

Expensive and gross. Soggy chips under a parmi covered in plastic cheese, crumbs didn't hold to the poultry. I'm certain it came out of a box in the freezer. Salad was room temperature with a vinaigrette that tasted like rotten figs. Tea for two was $8.50. If you are going to charge what we just paid, the food needs to meet higher standards. I do not agree with this cafe's 4.3 star google rating. As someone who worked in a kitchen for 8 years I'd be ashamed if I ran this one. Honest review, have been here twice in the last year and will not be giving it a third chance.

Edit: Thanks for your reply. However I have eaten here in the past and my experience was the same. Cold toast, cold egg yolk, overcooked bacon, cheap tasting sausages and overpriced.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't know their standards are low because they don't often eat genuinely well prepared and cooked food. As a result, a lot of places have higher ratings than they should. It's just the way it is.

I noticed you haven't been able to deny that your parmi came out of a box in the freezer. Maybe double check the salads aren't going under the heat lamp with the plate or sitting on the plate in the heat of the kitchen while chefs are preparing the rest of the meal or waiting for the cheese to melt, which, by the way, should have a slice of ham underneath it or shaved amongst it.

Chips were actually close to perfect however quickly went soft as the parmi was placed on top of them when it should be placed to the side to allow customers to enjoy the chips how they're meant to be. Not drenched in oil and sitting in a horrid vinaigrette thats run across the plate to get away from a warm salad.

I come.here all the time and i love this place. I always order eggs bendicit with salmon when I come here. I took my food back as my salmon looked off and chief reposnse was only it's surpose to be like that. And also the manager as well said ohhh I can't give you a refund or change your order to another one as we can't. That's the chief responses as we'll. You can literally taste it as the salmon is off and she even showed me on the tub it's surpose to be like that. And even the ones in the tub looked all off. My salmon bendicit never like this when i come with in with my family. I literally didn't even eat my food at all and there was no reponse on how to serve me after that.. problem didnt get solve at all they just said we cant do anything about it. I went home and thinking they still took my money for my meal and I walked out with nothing, and feeling hungry. And I didn't even get to eat my main food. I just finished off my son crossiants because I was hungry. We love this place alot but today was so disappointing. I can still taste the off salmon in my mouth. We are not coming here again. This was our favourite place but we going somewhere else where we feel appreciate and that. There was no solving the situation just ohhh its like that and we can't give you a refund. Very disappointing. So I didn't get a new meal. Didn't change it into another order at all. Didn't get a refund as well. But took my money and I never got to eat anything. Manager and the chief didnt know what to do and just told me we can't swap it to another meal or get a refund. So literally I payed for a meal and I didn't up eating it because the salmon was off. Thank you so much for a disappointing service. Never coming back.
