Visited here with my husband. While the staff were very friendly, the food was quite disappointing. We both ordered the Parma with no ham. The wait time was approximately 35 minutes or so until our food came out, despite this it tasted as if it has been nuked in the microwave. It only came with some chips but no salad? The parma was about the thickness of my forearm (far too much chicken) and my plate came with ham on it despite our request for no ham. The staff were lovely enough to redo the order but i have a sneaking suspicion that the ham was scraped off and they just placed more cheese on it as the order came back literally in 5 minutes. Taste wise, quite bland. The meat was underseasoned as were the chips, the sauce tastes like it came from a jar and it was covered in copious amounts of cheap tasting cheese and again, with heat similar to that of food being nuked in the microwave.

Food was just okay. Typical pub style meals. Found out after entrees had come out that my main wasn’t available, so needed to pick something else. As I was eating with kids, I needed to wrangle them while trying to eat my food, as everyone else was done. My salmon ended up having scales on the skin still, and the sides were bland. The onions rings were the pick of the meals. $130 for 2 drinks, two kids meals, onions rings and 2 mains was $$$ and not worth the price. I’ve given it a few try’s over the last 12 months to improve. But it’s just not getting there for me. Hopefully they get better in the future.

The service was good and the staff were friendly, food was good. The food came in all at once not dish by dish. The drawback was the dessert which was a sticky date pudding it was freezer cold in the middle and a bit floury needed a little bit longer in cooking. All up I would highly recommend the place for everything else. And a plus their restrooms amenities were spotlessly clean.😊

I have had to sadly delete my previous review 🙄 Vegetarian lasagne, after waiting for 3/4 hr on a Wed arvo for fish and lasagne we were disappointed. Fish was OK but the lasagne came to table looking like chicken parma! After lifting all the tomato sauce on top l found 3 sheets of limp pasta that was obviously made up and put together individually. It was placed on top of all the chips, which were already soggy, it was impossible to save them as you could not lift the tomato and pasta. I am not even sure if there were vegetables inside. If so, couldn't taste or see them. The salad was nice but two salads together would barely have been enough for one plate. We were placed in the far right corner in the dark, just opposite the bar, and in good spot to see the 'chef and assistant ' (?maybe) reading the paper and having a well earned drink. We had been there half an hour, still had no meals. Bar girl gave brilliant service and was to be commended, we never even got up for our drinks order and she brought them to us. Then came back again with more, l think she felt bad for us. Need to lift your game in the kitchen and then l will put up a...

I had dinner at Jack Ryan’s Bar tonight and, unfortunately, it was a really disappointing experience. Despite the venue not being particularly busy, it took over an hour for our meals to arrive.

I ordered their “All You Can Eat Sliders and Tacos” special, which sounded great in theory — but what came out were three tiny tacos. After finishing those, I requested the sliders, as expected with the deal, but waited another 45 minutes and still received nothing.

By that point, my wife had to leave, and I asked to have the sliders packed for takeaway. The staff initially said takeaways weren’t allowed — which was frustrating, given we’d already been waiting for two hours with no meal. After a bit of back-and-forth, the head staff eventually agreed to provide them in a takeaway container. Sadly, when we finally did get them, the sliders were underwhelming and not worth the wait.

The concept of the meal deal is great, but the service and execution were way off the mark. Not a place I’d rush back to...
