Having read lots of favourable reviews, we were eager to book and eat at this well advertised restaurant. We drove 40 mins to Sawtell and to say my wife and I were disappointed would be an understatement. The so-called lovely atmosphere was non-existent. The dining room is small and close to a very noisy kitchen with various staff busily trying to convey their customers orders. As for the food, my entree of Tempura Prawns (5) were served stone cold, after a 40 minute wait. This was also the case with my main dish of Beef Bulgogi. We looked around and noticed other customers were also kept waiting. Meanwhile, the takeaway orders continued to walk out the door. The food was okay and tasty, but the prices are in our opinion quite high for the rather average dishes we were served. We dined here for lunch three times in the last week was incredibly impressed with all the meals we had. We travel around the globe for work and always hunt out great food, Ong-ki impressed us with delicious flavour combinations and fresh ingredients presented beautifully. Dinners are usually booked up on the weekends, book early. Definitely a great lunch spot to drop in for a Bento Box, sushi or some Korean staples. Produce is super fresh and we definitely recommend the seared spicy scallops... Amazing. I will make it a regular destination, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality...
