Fries On The Side — Restaurant in Sawtell

Been coming here for quite a few years now, basically each time I'm back in my hometown for the Uni holidays and it's always scrumptious! Service is always great. I've had the pleasure of introducing friends to it too and just the other day we also tried the Cheeseburger Fries & loved how the loaded fries were doused in Pickle Juice 🥒 so there wasn't a dry chip in sight & as my companion and I are old mates from primary school we had a slight throwback when we saw the shop sells Pump water in the Berry Storm flavour (reminiscent of the Tuck Shop that fuelled our tween days)! This place has everything you could ask for (it's not just a Fish N Chip place 🐠🐟🐠)..... it's truly the perfect compliment to when you've just finished a movie , snack wise!!!

Tonight we had tried Fries on the Side for dinner as we had not been there for a few years as our last experience was disappointing (previous owners). We were pleasantly surprised that the new owners (whom have owned the business for 4 years) had renovated and the place was amazing! My partner and I both ordered chicken burgers and both were delicious. Neither of us could fault our burgers and chips! The burgers were huge, we couldn’t finish them, and the chicken was crumbed and cooked to perfection. If you’re after an old school style burger with bang for your buck then I’d highly recommend giving them a go! 11/10! We will...

Parking out the front! Wow. So, in we went. Came away with the best fish and chips for a long time. Great way to round off a Sunday. Chips, crunchy beautifully salted. Fish cocktails, YUM. has to be in house batter, too good not to be, light, crunchy. All in all we will be back. Great service, Great food. 👍
