Have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food served. It's ample sizing and fair in price for what you get. There is seating in side and out. Today myself and husband came for breakfast. We both felt like the big breakfast (variety of breakfast goods) but usually we can barely get thru half a big breakfast each so decided to get one to go halves and get some coffees each. I asked the staff member who wasn't rude but clearly didn't know the menu well as I asked how big is the "big breakfast" and she said not that big and when I quizzed how many items (I.e hashbrowns, Sausages ect) so I could order more if needed which I did as we both wanted a Hash brown and wanted the holinaise sauce on side. There was alot of people inside and out side was nippy so we sat at a very large table seated in the centre. The lady and daughter next to us had a booth and were moving so I politely asked if we could sit if she was leaving and she said yes. We sat and when our coffees were brought to us the staff member told us that the booth is for 4 people only and not 2 and if a group of 4 people come we would have to move. I said we wouldn't be staying for hours and simply wanted a quick breakfast and go. I though it was extremely odd and a little rude as the man behind us was a man and lady behind us on the other booth who were not told the same and a huge empty table next to us. It really made us feel unwelcome and as if we had done something wrong. There was a reserve on the table but the previous people had gone.
Besides that very weird interaction with staff, the food was lovely and fresh and the latte coffee I had was beautifully creamy and just the right temperature. We opted for the scrambled eggs and they were cooked divine. The big breakfast come with 2 toast, 2 butter, your choice of 2 eggs, Bacon (about 3 bits) half giant mushroom and half tomato fried,2 Hash browns (we ordered a 3rd after3told there was only 1) and some beautifully home made style baked beans that had an almost slight curry/spiced flavour. All up the big breakfast and w coffees come to $50.
I would recommend this place but the staff have a very unusual way to approach customers who are not in the "correct"...

Popped into here early in the morning for breakfast, place wasnt too busy when we ordered but there was a constant flow of people coming in for their coffees before work while we sat and waited.
First coffee arrived at the table, slammed down by the lovely staff between two tables that were put together which caused the drink to spill. No apologies or anything, staff just walked off like nothing happened.
I then went up to the counter just to ask whether we needed a table number as two orders were made but only one number used. The girl at the counter served the two people infront then saw me waiting and turned her back to me and took out some dine in coffees and then came back to then take out some food that was no ready. Finally after all this I was served..
Not long after the first dish ordered arrived at the table, again with no acknowledgement or anything; dish slammed down on table and walking off.
The two remaining drinks then were delivered to the table, which at this point everyone at the table was getting quite shocked at the attitude and service of this lovely staff member.
We then waited another 20 minutes after the intial food that came out to receive our food. By this time the first lot of food was already finished and we were having awkward conversations amongst us as one person had already finished their breakfast while we had to wait. At the same time other tables that came in a while after had also received their food not long after us.
The same staff member also delievered the remaining food to the table. After mumbling to herself what the dishes were, we indicated who had what but again she dumped the dishes on the end of the table and made no effort handing it to us.
Not sure if someone was having an off-day, but I really would not recommend this cafe if you would like to start your day off well. Going by other reviews here and of the other location they don't to seem to have the happiest of people...
Read moreNice place for a quick brekkie, got the classic breakfast mean and enjoyed, although there were some weak points. Worth 3.5 stars but rounded to 4 stars Hasbrown lovely Bean mix is great Eggs slightly too cooked on bottom and less cooked on top, makes it look pretty but takes from the texture and ease to eat Bacon strips are a great amount of crunch but still juicy very good Tomato is as good as a cooked tomato can be really, nothing spectacular good texture and taste. The sausage was a weak point, mainly from personal taste but it’s a chewy thick and quite fatty sausage, tiny bit of crispness to the outside but could do with more. I can’t stand mushrooms so I didn’t taste them but they looked good. Overall the highlight was the hash brown, bean paste and bacon, eggs were good, tomato was too just the sausage was not hitting The flat white was impressive, smooth strong and tasty The dining experience was nice but had some weak points, you can order in person but the online system is encouraged which means limited customization options. Also a small processing fee so slightly more expensive. Was pretty standard in serve time Friendly staff Nice spot, out of the sun in the mornings and stays cool Overall spent 34.40 for my coffee and breakfast, standard for somewhere like Bicton but slightly high for a less residential area. I would come back if in the area but it’s not the first choice. If you’re looking for a...
