The new layout provides more spare in the restaurant and the acoustics are much better. The wait staff are always welcoming and there is a good selection of food on offer. The highlight for me was the steak. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce was peppery and balanced well. I would have preferred roast veggies rather than the garden salad it came with but I enjoyed the large rosti. The seafood special pasta was also very tasty and the boys enjoyed their pizzas. The salad was underwhelming. The ingredients chosen weren't in season and there was only lemon but no other dressing so it was just bland and lack lustre. The tiramisu was way too sweet and quite small for the price.

Takeaway pizza and desert $75 for two people. Unfortunately it was a miss for us. I ordered 45 minutes in advance and still had to wait an additional 15 mins. The lady who served me was super lovely so bonus points for her. The sauce on the marinara pizza under the cheese was very wet, so much so that it leaked out and made the pizza and box wet and soggy. Had to re bake because it was mushy and soggy unfortunately. Flavour was nice but for the price and the wait, it absolutely wasn’t worth it. The desert containers had a very strong fishy smell too , might’ve been stored to close to items being cooked.

Had a wonderful dining experience here! The service was super attentive, and while the menu wasn’t as large as other Italian restaurants, everything sounded so appetising. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Overall, ambience was fantastic, and we loved the extra effort with the children’s pizza – the bunny ears were a big hit. The only downside was that the chairs, although comfortable, weren’t great for hanging coats or jackets due to their design (I know it’s a small detail, but I couldn’t help noticing). Overall, we all agree it’s a great spot for an enjoyable dinner.

Umm... amazing. I got the slow cooked beef cheeks, and they came out to. I was just tapping the meat with my fork and these gelatinous bits of beef were falling off and landing into the delicious sauce it was served in.

The misses got gnocchi with beef ragu. Best gnocchi she has ever had. Usually places just can't seem to get that part right. Compliment that with a tasty bit of tender beef and you shave the perfect bite. Talking about compliment... She never does it. But she was buzzing over her meal.

The father in law got the chicken parma, just because he wanted to see how an Italian restaurant did it. Best he ever had. And this guy has worked all around the nation and been to every pub and always gets the parma (I've heard this story a lot). But he reckons none of them were as good. He seemed almost devastated to admit it too, like he couldn't like about it... maybe even disappointed the best wasn't from some Aussie pub.

And the hardest one to impress. Even harder than the missus. My 3yo. She only ever eats cereal and chicken nuggets with tomato sauce. We got her the kids marghertia pizza. She ate half of it. If she had a second stomach, she would of put the other half in there. I couldn't believe she ate anything. That alone is enough for me to return regularly.

Other than the food, the place is beautiful. The staff were all super friendly and were always ready to take plates away and offer fresh beverages.

Summary. Try this place out....

Strategically located on a not so busy surroundings in Beeliar Drive, parking is not an issue, even with a jam packed busy night. Manage to secure a booking on the day but we wanted earlier, they called back once they had a cancellation so saved our night! Especially with little kids. :)

For main, ordered chicken thigh fillet, fish of the day - red snapper, duck breast, lamb pizza and a kids’ Napolitana. Sides/starter we had a kilo of chilli mussel and duck fat chips.

The mains are generally delicious. However, duck breast can be seasoned more; mussels are flavorsome but the size is tiny; pizza is way too “wet” with the dough soaked in the gravy (if its thick sauce that’s ok but it’s watery). Duck fat chips is pretty average as well, but the crispy bits of bacons compliments well.

Dessert we had crème brûlée, panna cotta and tiramisu, they’re all very delicious.

Unfortunately I forgot to take any picture that evening, size wise...

Won't be attending again. After waiting over an hour and a half for food we asked where our meals were and we were reassured, they will be here soon almost done! After 2.5 hours we requested the bill to pay for our drinks and leave and were told we couldn't leave as the food is coming- the chicken is just cooking! Our waitress brought 1 cocktail for our table to share (4 adults, 1 child) and left red faced when she told me to try it but I informed her, alas my stomach was not full of food but a 9 month pregnancy. After waiting approximately 3hours and 12 minutes after we ordered, our food arrived and no-ones was hot, suggesting it had probably sat a while. We left very frustrated and with no apology given even though at paying the bill we expressed our dissapointment. The only good thing I could say is they offered to bring the kids meal out when it was ready (rather than with the other mains) which probably saved a meltdown...
