Our favorite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. Fantastic friendly service and powerful, savory dishes. Pictured are a delightful Beef Vindaloo and Beef Malibu. The latter is given a powerful and rich palate on account of the Malibu Rum used in the recipe. Of the two wines on offer, the full-bodied Rose better holds it's own against the intense flavors offered on the menu, largely by virtue of it's residual sweetness. The Riesling is actually more on the dry side (despite the sweetness people often associate with the variety), and can't hold its own against strong curries. The Beef Vindaloo (ordered hot) is reasonably mild enough for those less inclined to handle spice. If spice is your thing, perhaps making a special request for extra hot might be in order. Also pictured is a new item on the menu, their outrageously good Chicken Wings (given complimentarily with thanks!). Coated with some manner of curry, and perfectly crispy underneath, they're perfect as a side or as a meal on their own. Bombay Bliss comes strongly...

I was pleasantly surprised after coming to this restaurant in the Sunshine Coast. The website didn't mention Chat food but it looks like this is a new offering.

I had their Pani Puri and WOW! The Pani was the freshest I have had for a long time. Make sure to ask for the sweet chutney as an addition though. It really brings out the tangy taste.

The Masala Dosa was also very good, though a bit small if you were to eat it as a main. The Sambhar was full of flavour and was not at all watered down. The chutneys were quite nice too

I was also quite impressed with their Chole Bhature. The Chole had the right amount of spice and the Bhature were very fluffy.

The restaurant had an open kitchen and appeared quite clean with good ambience visually. The staff were polite and friendly.

The only issue was the acoustics. The music felt a bit loud and echoed a bit. It made it slightly hard to understand people talking.

Overall, I am very impressed and would return again

My partner and I were here in 2019 and had a beautiful time. It was a quiet place with great service and amazing food. However, upon visiting this week, we were absolutely disappointed. We were ignored for 15 minutes while tables that were sat after us got served, the waiters were blatantly ignoring us (even though we had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early). The water for the table never arrived. Nobody asked if we wanted additional drinks. When I complained about lack of service, the “compensation” was a sauce for the papadams… We had to wait a further 24 minutes for a server to make eye contact so we can have a takeout box and leave. It was also exceptionally loud and difficult to hear my partner from across our table. I don’t know if it was change in ownership or if it was because we are both visibly queer, but we won’t be returning. The food was good but the service was appalling. Unfortunately won’t be recommending this place to...

Followed the lovely aroma down the street which led us to Bombay Bliss. It's a chain. I've been to another location before. I was impressed by the menu - there were almost too many options to choose from. I went with chef's special - goat curry. It's so rare to see goat on a menu. Heads up re: spice level - when they write medium and hot they really mean it! So ask for mild it you can't handle the heat. It was such a relief finding an authentic restaurant that doesn't add half a kilo of sugar in a curry! The meals were freshly prepared & we didn't have to wait long. They also serve alcohol here which was so much cheaper than other venues sell it. Check out the cocktail I got which cost me $10. It had a fresh cherry in it too. We didn't book and got a table near the register. I'm giving 4 stars because it was rather hot that evening and we couldn't feel any breeze or a/c where we were so we couldn't hang around too long because of it.
