Hands down one of my fav spots to be at. Some weeks I come every day, sometimes twice a day in the morning and afternoon. I especially love high tide when the water is clean, clear, and cool on a warm day.

Parking does get extra busy on weekends and especially during the holiday season, with shared parking with the boat shed, swimming pool, and caravan park in the same block. Amenities block at the front of the road entrance

People fish off the rock wall. Great day out for families. Certain times of the day you can get a current come through. Stand up paddle boats, kite surfers, jet skis, dingys, and small boats.

Great local foodie spots in the area, restaurants, chemist, convenience store, bakery butchers, fashion retailers, Australia post, three fish n chip shops - Suncoast Seafoods opp. Raw Energy, my favourite and cafes. A lawn bowls club and library, too.

It's definitely one of my...

Un-patrolled beach located near the mouth of the Maroochy River. Great for swimming with sand banks across the channel containing yabbies for fishing bait.

Easiest access is through Cotton Tree Holiday Park.

The river has a strong current on the turn of the tides and gets deep close to the shore so keep an eye on the kids!

Venture to the mouth of the river for a swim in the small surf next to the sand bagged sea walls but again be aware of the strong rips and current of the river.

A patrolled beach, a short walk away, is located to the south of the...

Cotton Tree is a very special find on the Sunshine Coast. The beach and river mouth allows you options of swimming in waves or calm water. The beach is patrolled throughout the year with extra patrols at the river mouth during the holidays. Beautiful one day, perfect the next. As Sunshine Coast Buyers Agent based in Cotton Tree, it’s my perfect office.
