It is always busy with walkers, joggers and other people walking their dogs. It is lovely and clean and well kept. It has a lovely vibe. For a good walk go down the board walk towards the Spit. Plenty of seating and BBQ areas. The beach is patrolled so it is safe for the family. It is very clean and there is a cleaning tractor that sifts the sand on a regular basis (was up early one morning and saw it in action) so less likely to step on anything unwanted. Not too big surf for the young ones - and the young at heart! This is the perfect family beach. A sweeping crescent of beach from the surf beach around to the calmer waters on the spit.
