All I can say is WOW. I’ve dined in and ordered takeaway at El Bigoton several times now and it is consistently impressive. I can’t say my experience with authentic Latin American cuisine is extensive, however, the food here is truly delicious and I am addicted. So fresh, so flavorsome, and each time I’ve visited the staff have been so lovely. I love hearing from them about the dishes and their commitment to making fresh in-house, authentic cuisine. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast in the 90’s and early 00’s has allowed me to see a lot change in the culinary landscape. And thank god! El Bigoton is bringing a taste of South America to the Coast and I’m so glad of it. Food is such a celebration of culture and it’s clear how passionate and committed the team are here. I included a pic of my last takeaway order where I’ve gone for the chips and El Bigoton Aioli, chicken nachos, feijoada and Cuban bowl. I think it’s important to see takeaway presentation and El Bigoton clearly take pride in every dish they serve. All completely and utterly delicious. Even my 86-year-old father was suitably impressed and asked for another serving. Thats when you know its good ha! Bravo you guys! Please keep it up. You have a customer for life 🙏

With one word "Awesome!" With my brasilian girlfriend this was perfect choose of place for lunch but also very challenging because of the brasilian food. Well guys you exceeded our expectations. We had Choripan, La Tabla Del Jefe and Coxinhas. Coxinhas **** - were good, fried in good oil. Altought we missed something. Probably could use more salt and the cheese could be mixed with that chicken. But it was not bad at all Choripan ***** - it was very good, perfect combination and great spices. Just bit disapointed that the sausage was cut in half. Thanks to it I didnt have in the middle 1 cm no meat. And I think it deserves full sausage. La Tabla Del Jefe ***** - there is not much to say, everything was great. Spices, combination, portion just everything. And the meat was exactly how we want it. We would might aprecciate more Cassava fries and less sweet potato fries. Recommending good bottle of Cerveza with the food. Cleanless ***** Service ***** Price ***** Cant wait for next visit of Mooloolaba to have a great lunch again!

I was so excited for this as they have a vegan menu. Overpriced and SO underwhelming.. out like they were trying to leave us unimpressed. Almost lost a tooth to their unflavoured greasy plantain chips. We were asked to get a main EVERY time we got a drink and I got a mocktail. Got their most popular vegan main (photo below $26) and it had no flavour whatsover. It felt like we were having leftovers. Came with no guacamole, sour cream.. those were all extras you had to pay for. Each at least $5 for a stingy serve size. It was all self service and they had no menus available, no QR codes at tables. Had to go up and read the one tiny menu stuck on the wall at the counter. Poor service.. they made our spicy mango margarita intolerably spicy and refused to return the drinks.. we had to beg to get them fixed. Don’t bother, save your money go to Rice Boi across.

Fantastic food!! I had a meal with my family a couple of weeks back and have been meaning to write this for a while. Why? Because the food was superb, humble, typical yet super fresh and super tasty. These guys have done a great job at putting various Latin American food cultures together in order to create a unique experience.

If you fancy real food that taste good and you do not mind to support people who you can see are making a big effort to make a difference in this space then give these guys a try.

We ordered some meals and a sandwich, the bun was great and I asked where did that come from, the guy said that they could get a vietnamese bun from the local bakery but that did not work and the best bun they found was from a bakery in Brisbane so they decided that in order to provide the best possible experience for their customers they wanted the Brisbane bun. So if you want your food in two minutes please think about these guys who are express freighting their bread from Brisbane so you can have a fantastic sandwich in a few minutes.

The guy told me about the recycled materials they were using in order to have a lesser impact on the planet.

Anyway I could write here a bit more about it all but I think these guys deserve a chance to show you they are fair, well priced and have made the effort to please people without hurting the planet even more than we already...

Wow. What a wonderful surprise. We recently visited Moolooabah and spent the night. In researching places to dine, we came up with Rice Boi, but felt confident that we would not need to book. WRONG!!!! They were very busy and had a long waiting list. Whilst we are certain that they would have been a 5 star place to eat and will visit on our next trip back to the wharf, we were very lucky to be able to get a table at El Bigoton. It was great that the other restaurant could not accommodate us, because our table of 5 had just the most excellent meal and are still raving about our visit several days on. The team member that got us seated was a wonderful Argentian lady, who was so attentive and welcoming. One of the group has a couple of dietary requirements, which when explained to the lady, was absorbed, processed and options for that guest were given (all recommendations were delicious). It is great that every member of the group enjoyed all the meals (which we shared). We could rattle on all day, but recommend that you just make sure that you visit this wonderful restaurant and let them bedazzle you with the flavours, the choices and their warm South American Hospitality. We will most definatley we visiting El Bigoton next time we are in...
